Very steep round up to this one. We arrived, late, looked more like a dogging site. Seems to be the place where the local youths, come to eat take-aways, and smoke. We left

Had problems finding this one. Road layout must have changed recently, as our Sat nav kept telling us to turn left at the traffic lights. No traffic lights now, only roundabouts. Found it by following signs for Basilique de la Visitation.
Steep walk up and down to the town, but there was a bus service directly to and from the aire, at intervals of about 2 hours.
Nice new toilets there under a new building that was still being developed.
Lots of cars and people back and for all evening until quite late, but quiet during night.

Large carpark outside the church which sits on the hillside on the outskirts of Annecy town.
The old town - which is very pretty and touristy, is a 15min walk (downhill and uphill back).
If you park at the edge to get the view over the town the surface slope away and you may need ramps to get level.
Water is available near the entrance to the car park but you will need a container as a hose will not fit the old cast iron pump style outlet.
There is plenty of space as long as there is not an event on at the church (e.g. I would imagine it being quite busy Sunday) There are other aires in the area but this is free and convenient for the town.
