Unfortunately even the boulangerie has gone. Still an interesting place to visit though, just don't expect many shopsView all reviews by cliveb
The parking is good, however the town is very run downView all reviews by gtandft
one of the most unusual places aires you can ever stop in! lovely place but few shops. If you get the chance drive up into the national park to the lakes. In the summer you have to be in the park before 7 am or you have to catch the bus in.Wonderful walks around the lakes once you are there and an eat as much as you like breakfast in hotel les bones Hores to die for. Also a good spot for catching the Petit train Jaune down to confolensView all reviews by woody1962
The village is within a Vauban constructed fortress and part of the fortress is used for training the French 'Shock' commandos. It's a small village within the walls with a couple of bars, restaurant & boulangerie.View all reviews by billor
Cost in 2016 was 7 Euros/night with free (somewhat basic) service point,
Dog walk outside the fortress walls.
The aire provides a fairly level tarmac parking area. It's reasonably quiet and I'd be happy to stay there again.
overnight parking area is to the right of the arch entrnce to the town. Don't go through this arch, but find the site to the right at the rear of the car park. We parked through the arches. Perfect, quiet and had a view of the mountains. At the time the meter machine was broken but the water was free.View all reviews by anniekimm
