Lots of motorhome, lots ignoring rules on levelling etc and filling the coach parking area. Great location. Very quiet. Very good, indeed. The remains on rhe beaches from Operation Dynamo are very moving.

Perfect stop just a short walk to miles of golden sand with lots of remnants of WW2 and the Dunkirk landings. We walked into Dunkirk which was a few hours away but found a great bakery overlooking the harbour where we were able to purchase an Express lunch for 4.5 euros which consisted of a filled baguette, pastry and drink. Much to our delight we were able to catch a free bus C2 nearly all the way back from the main centre. Then you could catch the 20 which would take you back to Bray Sands.
We parked on the coach carpark with about 6 other motorhomes but l assume at the height of the season this wouldn't be allowed.

Didn't overnight here. In centre of town which is mecca for moules frites aficionados. At rear of tourist info office. Toilets seem to be maintained - but only open three days a week which is most inconvenient! Not the most scenic place on this coast but worth visiting to see remains of Dunkerque evacuation shipwrecks which can STILL be seen on the western end of the beach.

Parking in a small tourist village with lots of restaurants. In December 2017 it was mainly sleepy but managed to find an open bakery for the fresh Croissants supply. The beach is wonderful and invites for an extended walk.

Brilliant stopover, lovely clean toilets open at ten in the morning. 100yards from Bray sands, Dunkirk beach. If you go to look at the beech go right as you face the beach, right to the end of the road and in the dunes you can still see WW2 bunkers.

Just tried to stay here for 1 night (26th July) only to find that all the spaces were taken by coaches and most of the surrounding roads, managed to park in one of the car spaces in the car park as we wanted to spend a couple of hours on the beach. Checked the sign on the information centre and noted that there was no stoping for vans over 5.5m in July and August and your not ment to chock vans ( car park is very un-level). Being new to this wild camping we moved on to a site down the road.

There's 3 parts to this area: coach park, motorhome area and car parking. Motorhomes tend to use most of the motorhome and the car park as well, predominantly French vans, but no-one parks in the coach bays. During hot days tables and chairs come out and are put up beside the vans in the bays taking up more spaces, no-one seems to care usually although today there was a protracted argument between a local and a French van owner about parking outside the regulated motorhome bays, of which there's about 10. Hard tarmac only, some flat bays but about half would need levelling, toilets nearby, ATM and tourist office at the end of the carpark, shops, cafes etc across the road, and Bray-Dunes beach 3 minutes walk away. It's an amazing beach and is where all the soldiers were rescued from during the second world war.
Nice and quiet and peaceful on a night but noisy during the day.
For walkers, you can walk back all the way into the port of Dunkirk or north into Ostend in Belgium along the beach.
I've rated it 8 for facilities but that's for the cafes and bars etc, not for site facilities.

Good location. Does get crowded. BEWARE - do not park on the coaches' side of the car park ,as people have been fined (Euro 65)when the police come round in the morning.

Great spot but can be very busy. With up to 48hrs stay right next to the dunes and facilities of Dunkirk. In the season it's a case of arrive at 11ish and wait for a spot to open up.

Regular visitors for past 8 years - great spot has got more popular but never really full as people spill out into car parking area. Really only for over nighting. Short walk to prom and long lovely beach. Cafes very near for snacks and more.
