Very friendly site with English speaking owner. Within the city walls of a very interesting historic town. A very short walk into the centre with plenty of restaurants and bars. Boulangerie within 100m. Walk or cycle the ramparts direct from the site. Great views over surrounding countyside. Facilties looked clean, but did not use. Owner is there for a few hours each evening. Just find a space and book in when he turns up about 5pm. €16.10 for van EHU and two people.View all reviews by jant
As others have said, decent enough site with EHU, showers & wash block. English speaking friendly owner and decent sized pitches. Easy to find and your right next to town and the wall. You pick your spot and see the owner at 5.30pm...there will be a queue!View all reviews by outlawcatcher
Paid €13 for 1 motorhome, 1 adult & no electric.
Stayed here for one night. Signage to campsite was very good and found it easily.View all reviews by caronwinter
You can choose which pitch you want and then pay at reception when the owner arrives at 17:30. He speaks very good english.
Facilites were nice and clean.
Nice town and well worth stopping for the night. Make sure you walk around the ramparts, takes around 45 minutes.
Excellent little municipal campsite, with very clean facilities.View all reviews by mikeleche
Stopped for two nights on a tour of france, as the town offered a nice relaxy break from touring, with plenty of eateries etc.
Relaxed site atmosphere, and beautiful views, especially if you get a pitch on the higher ground next to the historic tower.
Satnav and Google maps (I tend to use both when finding a site) both found without any issues, although good signage anyway.
A great location within historic city walls. Arrive early for best pitch. Phone ahead if arriving late. Very relaxed campsite with spectacular views.View all reviews by markjjones
A well placed site inside the walls. I looked on street view before arrival to get the lay of the road layout as it’s is a trip through the car park and out the other side. As said the facilities look a bit run down but inside all clean and in good order. In the hight of summer I would get here early and then booking when the office opens. You will need a good long hookup cable as some pitches are away from the bollards. A short walk into the town, both Aldi and Neto to the north.View all reviews by col447
Really handy stopover, (we stopped on our way to Le Harve 5 hours drive). Very clean facilities and no rules as to where you park, providing you electric cable is long enough. Lovely views. The best meal and value for money, ( we had the 18e set menu), of the holiday at Le Rampart, first restaurant you come to on the left before you turn into the town. Friendly but very busy site!View all reviews by themothership
Ideal site for visiting the town, best follow signs to campsite rather than following a sat nav . good facilities and very helpful staff.View all reviews by jasper
Great municipal site on the city wall. As said follow the signs rather than relying on satnav as it's easy to get lost. Gets very busy so best to arrive early. Reception only open for a few hours a day so just find a pitch then register and pay one the office opens (times on the door). Facilities are good though they look a little run down on the outside. Short walk to the town. Great place as a stop off or for a couple of days sightseeing.View all reviews by sandrae
