Aire very close to the town centre. Levelling blocks needed. Paid €2 for fresh water. Seems a popular spot as there were many motorhomes parked up for the night. A little scruffy as mentioned by another review but a pleasant stay. From the Botanical Gardens next to the aire you get a view of Mont St Michael.View all reviews by jet1
Popular site. Get there after lunchtime to avoid possible disappointment. Worth a visit to the historic town and Cathederal. Also parts of a castle you can explore. Water and cassette disposal.View all reviews by simonjh
Ideal for an overnight stop, very uneven plots but quite quiet and the town is worth a wander. There are washing machines and a drier at the Carrefour round the corner.View all reviews by felbourne
We met up with friends there. Very convenient for the nice town of Avranche. Water and waste available. It was busy but we loitered about until someone left. our friends arrived later and everyone budged up to let them in. The nearby gardens are worth a look as it the tower/sView all reviews by 1302
castle thingy is worth looking at also. Supermarket nearby and plenty of bars etc.
Hard gravel but very uneven. Definitely need chocks. Not many spaces - maybe 8 (?). Services good €2. No toilets. Quiet night. Handy stopover.View all reviews by Smurf60
We were lucky to get one of the last two spaces at this busy free aire and that was before 4pm. Everyone parked close together and many motorhomes still looking for a space late into the evening. Interesting town, lovely park with wonderful views to the coast and Mont St Michel. There is a Carrefour’s just a few minutes walk into the town with usual cafes etc. Services 2€View all reviews by hamiltongirl
Very well located site if you’re coming to or from Cherbourg.View all reviews by pennyandmel
Basic facilities, I didn’t use them, but all looked ok. To settle the other comments, you can’t see Mont St Michel from the site, but you can when driving in and out. Looks majestic!
Quiet - happy to let my cat Lolly run about
A bit scruffy, especially near the bins, and not very level, but in an excellent and very convenient spot if going to or from Cherbourg. Nice town and the Scriptorial Museum is well worth a visitView all reviews by daveandsian
Great stop 12 kms as crow flies to Le Mont St Michel. historic town with 6/6/44 in mind. Remember your levellers. Make sure you see the gardens just about 100 metres away and great view of the Le Mont St Michel especially at duskView all reviews by suavecarve
Reviews on other sites suggested there was a view of Mont St Michel from this aire, so we went to investigate.View all reviews by admin
When we arrived there was a cravan just leaving (German) who had obviously stayed the night and took up two spaces - we noticed this a couple of times during this holiday - is this the start of a worrying trend?
Definitely no views of Mont St Michel from the pitches and not much of a view of anything so we decided not to stay and moved on. As a stopping point it looked fine though
