Not quite where shown on the map but that is where the road that leads to the site is. We stayed in the non electric area for €8/night bargain! Full access to showers and services through the barrier and also given a key for the pedestrian beach gate.View all reviews by IanVM
This site is still being finished with half pitches completed. The toilet block is lovely and the pitches are a good size some with views of the sea and La Manga in the distance. There is an overflow carpark without electricity for €8 if site is full as it was for us, the ground resembles builders yard rubble as does the beach which is only suitable for flying kites. The bar was shut on Monday and you had to ask for the receptionist to open the supermarket which looked empty. Bread was available. A mile walk along boardwalk to a kite surfing bar. Ok for one night not enough to do for longer for us. Jets were interesting and didn’t disturb us. Very windy area.View all reviews by steveh
Other peoples reviews have said it all , what a great site . Best sote so far for us ! Nice restaurant/bar on the actual site plus little shop ( not open at mo)View all reviews by annabel25
A short bike ride over the nature reserve/board walk leads you to the start of the prom and on to a few nice bars. Beach looking a bit sand with huge piles of sands waiting to be spread due to last years storm.
Came for 3 nights and stayed 7.View all reviews by pottyhouse1
I almost didnt want to review this place because it is such a gem. Spotless and new. facilities, water on porch and direct access to beach. Easy walk/bike ride along the boardwalk through the nature reserve to town and all the bars. Supermarkets too far to walk but flat cycle route. Supermarket on site not open when we were there but bread available at reception. Order before 11 and you can have dish of the day brought to your pitch for €3.45.
Drive over grey waste dump at far end of site that isnt open yet
Paid €10 in Feb including electric
€10 a night
top location, top prize, highly recommended! Best I have seen on my trip so far.View all reviews by LenaBel
A lovely campsite located on a dog friendly beach. Good size pitches with own water tap. Facilities are generally of high quality. Shop on site selling all essentials along with an ala carte restaurant. Right next to the military airport so you do have plane noise but that didnt bother us we enjoyed watching them. There are extra large pitches for big motorhomes. Very busy at the weekend.View all reviews by Rewindthegap
What a find! Spotless, quiet, newly refurbished site overlooking the Mar Menor. Everything appears brand new at this point, with a pool and additional shower block yet to open (due this summer). Spacious pitches with 16Amp EHU and water (not potable), showers/toilets first class, launderette, indoor plate washing, private access to beach at restaurant/beach club, comprehensive menu with take-away option (must book by 12 noon), small supermarket (only stocked fully in high season), additional public beach in front of site, good security with card and key access through gates. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. All we need now is the flying display team to kick off and it will be perfect!View all reviews by sheridantony
Great site, adjacent to the beach, lovely shower block, large pitches with 16amp electric and water and we have only paid €10 a night. I guess it will go up in the but, for now just fab.View all reviews by shaunmb69
The only marginal downside is its proximity to a military airport and noise happens but, not often and usually in the morning and early evening, never during the night.
Dont let this put you off, its really great value
Complete renovated site with great facilities all inclusive €10 per night for a large pitch with water and 16 amp electrity. Very good bar/restaurant and option of meal to your van €3.50 changes daily.Just off the dog friendly beach. Highly recommend.View all reviews by stephd
Great little find, booked 3 nights & stayed a week in the end. Fantastic staff, nice new facilities, big pitches with water & ehu. Only half site has been finished, work in progress. €10 a night currently, try and get a front pitch for views, but still good on others. Beware though, the airbase is active, if you dont like planes, move on. We loved seeing and hearing the jets. Supermarkets, Aldi, Lidl all in town with decent parking for motorhomes. Some nice bars on the western promenade. Good cycle access everywhere. Bring a groundsheet, the sand gets everywhere from the pitch surface. Bargain site. ???? Dog friendly.View all reviews by LifewithaView
Lovely site with large pitches. Fantastic value at this time of year. 10€ per night including electric, water and all waste disposal. Fresh bread daily just 80c, daily meal can be delivered to your pitch too!View all reviews by Seasonsx5
New shower block, extremely clean and well maintained. Washing machines and drier also quite cheap to use.
The bar / restuarant lovely. Sat having a pint (3€) overlooking your own private beach - wonderful!
Walking along the boardwalk to Dia was so peaceful :-)
The pin point on the map is wrong. I've tried to change it, but cant. The site is actually the other side of the airport runway, between that and the beach. If you get stuck, follow signs for the Kinita bar.
Here we are at the newly opened "camping mar menor" which sits alongside San Javier airport which closed to commercial flights in January. It's now military and home to the equivalent of the Spanish version of the red arrows. The other side of the campsite is the mar menor.View all reviews by mrwexpress
We were greeted by the owner who spoke perfect English who couldn't be more welcoming. The price per night is €10 which includes 16a electric, water, use of facilities etc. Pitched up we headed for a stroll, the toilets and showers have to be the best I've seen this trip.
there is a onsite restaurant and bar, and a short walk along the boardwalk joins the Los alcazares promenade.
we love it here and will be back
Total agree with the previous review. Very large pitches. Private beach. Small shop on site. A bargain at €10 per night with 16 amp electricity.View all reviews by colindove1
