Despote the potholes, it is a truly wonderful overnight stop. Lovely walks from the car park and views to die for. Area patrolled by forestry comission vehicles. Mixture of campervans, motorhomes and tents. Toilets on site and dustbins.

PLEASE NOTE I have checked with the Scottish Forestry & land commission, this beach car park IS NOT part of their stay a night scheme (can be confirmed from their link on this entry). Therefore it is not legal to stop here overnight :(

Great spot though can get quite busy. Had a campsite feel to it. Kids were swimming in the loch, there was a nice wander over to another little beach to the north.

What a gem of a find !
Quiet, peaceful setting with outstanding views across Loch Long .
Access to various walks around the surrounding countryside .
Toilets available on site 24 hours .
The location was used to train Royal Commandos during WW2 and a memorial is on site .
Also red squirrel , otter and porpoise can be seen around the loch .
