Young couple, in a campervan. Braved the COVID rush and landed on this spot having wanting a lake view to wake up too. it didn't disappoint! beautiful.

The place though, it is very busy. we stayed right near the top and although there are entry of spaces, loads of traffic and noise with cars taking their boats to the launch point. they then park their vehicles and trailers as close as possible.

on the night, very quiet. loads of space. usually around dusk. could be a good time to arrive to establish a place for a couple of days if that was your intentions.

Great little stopover on the edge of the lake with room for 3/4 vans .We also saw other vans parked in a couple of other locations down the road .
Busy during the day and morning with walkers but very quiet during the evening and night .
Access to various walks along the lake or into the woods and hillside .
Its worth the £5 to take the ferry across the lake to get to as you cut out all the narrow roads !
