Lovely spot near the river and good walks, a little road noise during the night but nothing too much. Toilets nearby.
This car park is now pay on entry and is a whopping £2 per hour, 24 hours per day with no limit. It also states that you can keep topping up payments with phone app. A local told us that company had taken over land from the National Trust and significantly increased prices. We can confirm that there is number plate recognition. We continued our journey without staying over.View all reviews by Cyprus
Stayed over night and most of the next day, so we could walk in to Ambleside around Rydal Water, nice spot for £8 for 24Hrs, the car park has vehicle recognition cameras, you pay your fee on leaving. For information the site is now called White Moss Car Park the Rydal Water side is the better of the two car parks which have the same name. Both entrances are within 100mtrs of each other.View all reviews by TheMills

Nice woodlads and waking up to sound of happy birds just makes you even more relaxed
Stayed here for one night on trip through the Lakes, just post lockdown restrictions being lifted. Large car park with number plate recognition, you pay when you leave. We stayed from 6.30pm until 9.30am the next day and it was £8 (I believe it is £8 for up to 24 hours) The signs say it is White Moss Car Park though, and the one over the road is also called White Moss, definitely Rydal Water car park though. There is a food van selling burgers and bacon baps etc that opens in the morning.View all reviews by Bobcatclaire
We walked over the road and walked around Grasmere to the village Grasmere and there are a few pubs open there for food and drinks.
