Tried to use on a wednesday during school holidays and all closed on arrival. Sign outside the gate saying parking available, but all locked up.View all reviews by paulmartin1979
Really good spot, we was kayaking so was very handy. £3 per night. Level play ground. Kids loved the park across the road.View all reviews by ducko74
Busy with car's during the day, no problem after 7pm. Parked in corner out the way, one other Moho, pretty level and in a good locationView all reviews by sparklypink
We moved to the entrance in the morning so as not to get boxed in as cars were parked tight when we arrived. The carpark was empty, but we approached the woman as a courtesy, and to say we'd be leaving £10, rather than the £3
Clearly didn't get the same women as a previous review! She was incredibly unfriendly, miserable and rude. She said £10 wasn't enough as we were taking up 4 spaces (we weren't) and grumbled how she'd have to park cars on the grass, even though the carpark was empty!
First ever negative experience, very unwelcoming, wouldn't return
Fantastic spot to stop over. Did three night here with a, not to be missed, walk up the old man, paddleboarding on the lake and a relaxing stay. Toilets available either in the town (short distance) or at the lake side. Cafes, pubs and more within a few hundred metres.View all reviews by simon244
Lovely lady on the car park entrance could not have been more friendly of helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Stayed Friday 3rd January overnight.View all reviews by DianeT47
Arrived at 5pm, gates open. 2 other van's already in.
Later in the evening the gates were closed, but not locked. Still closed in the morning.
Paid £3 into honesty box. Level parking. No facilities. Nearest public toilets were closed until March but some open next to tourist information.
Walking distance to pubs/restaurants/shops and down to the lake in other direction.
Spar shop at the petrol station.
Very quiet location.
Ideal for 1 night, will use again.
Came and stayed for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year. £3 for all day parking via an honesty box and no signs prohibiting overnight. As we stayed overnight we put extra in the box. Location is central with chippy and spar at the end of the road. Public toilets within 5mins walk and the lake is a 5min walk. Availability is limited to weekends and school holidays.View all reviews by perdurabo
