Great sight with very friendly staff and amazing food. when we called they mentioned £20 to stay but on asking this is only if you dont use pub.

water with hose available and toilet open all night

great location if you want a stop over just off A1 and food thats stunning plus the owner really wants more stopover visitors.

Superb stopover in rear carpark of country pub/inn. We called ahead and told no problem. Large gravel carpark is level in places, tap/ hose for water and 24hr access toilets planned EHU's. You are encouraged to use the pub either evening meal or breakfast. Owners are very keen to promote stopovers and have big plans for bands and events. The location is in a beautiful village with village green, approx 6 miles from the A1. Would definitely recommend. Please follow on FB etc sign up for emails.

Great stop not far from A1. Landlord very friendly and wants more motorhomes to stop over. 24hr toilet. If he gets enough of us he is going to put in toilet dump and ehu. I had the best steak i can remember it was a sirloin that was like a filet beautiful. Level carpark at the bottom.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way further north. It’s ideally placed as only a short detour off the A1 and when you arrive at Kirkby Fleetham you find a quiet picturesque village with a large village green.
The pub car park is large and in the bottom right corner nice and flat. No charge for the overnight stay as long as you use the pub and it is a lovely pub with a good menu. Dogs allowed in the bar. There’s a water point and there’s access to the loos overnight.
Friendly welcome

Great pub with great food and ales
Large carpark with fields at the back
Access to the toilets is open all through the night and there is a long hose outside for water
We arrived late and food had stopped but the Landlord Peter sorted us out with burger and chips. They are looking at EHU at some point in the near future. We have stayed a couple of tomes now on way up to Northumberland and Scotland. Our unit is 7.4 mtr with tow car

Stayed over on a Sunday night. Big car park at the rear overlooking fields. Quiet location. Friendly reception and helpful staff. Good food and a selection of ales. Not far off A1(M).

Our first trip in our new motor home found the pub listed in Practical Motorhome mag. Emailed prior to arrival and booked Xmas dinner. Parked at the bottom of a large accessible car park behind the pub, quiet and safe, enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Had great beer in the afternoon then back for evening meal. Menu was varied and the food was excellent as was the service, very friendly and helpful. Free to stay as long as you make use of the pub/bar/restaurant. Will be back.

About 10 minutes from A1(M) close to Bedale and Catterick, North Yorkshire. Very rural but excellent location, roads leading to pub are reasonable. Main menu meals are expensive but if you get in pub before 6-00pm the 2 course menu is reasonable, the meals are very good. The car park is large and flat. We just turned up and then popped into pub and asked if it was ok to stay (2 units). Arrive early and book a table, very popular in mid week as well as weekends. We will be back.

A nice pub and restaurant conveniently close to the A1M. The menu is varied and extremely well prepared but don't expect cheap. The car park is large and flat and so long as you call first they are very happy for you to be there. We parked our 7m conversion with 4m of car trailer without a problem. There is water and the toilets are open all night. Walking the dog was fine either around the village common, the lawns or adjacent field.

Lovely pub great selection of beer wine and gin. We had dinner which was very good. Landlady and landlord very friendly and helpful. Carpark is flat at the bottom end with plenty of room. The area is very rural farming community lots of footpaths some across agricultural land with crops. We visited the 12 century church of St Mary about a mile outside the village with Kirkby manor next door, well worth the effort. Highly recommend.
