After visiting the new Pilote dealers at Clwyd Caravans up the road, a local councillor works in the shop and told us about these car parks. He is working to attract more tourism here and said it was ok to park here. Quiet night although bit of noise early on with dog walkers. Perfect spot for the aqueduct and walking the canal. 4 miles canal cycling to Llangollen. Cost just £3.

Arrived at this car park to find that it’s a diabled car park. Spoke to the attendant who was locking up the toilets and he stated that there isn’t any overnight parking even though there was no prohibitive signs. He told me that people still parked overnight. Decided not to risk it and we stayed somewhere else.

Spent one night here, fairly quiet, plenty of parking. NIce pub meal at tavern accross the canal. Good place for viewing the aquaduct next mor I g. Free, and felt safe

Great carpark stop over right next to Trevor Basin, Shropshire Union Canal. Toilets are open till late as is the chemical disposal point. Very quiet at night. Not all parking is level. No parking fee. Great walks nearby. Boat cafe just around the corner and Premier corner shop 5 mins walk away. As already mentioned the signs say disabled parking only. The carpark is big enough for 30 veichles, only 5 bays are marked out for disabled visitors. speaking to a Canal & River Trust volunteer the plan WAS to make it ALL disabled parking but it never happened.

Good location for checking out the aquaduct. Canal and River Trust signage is very unclear, but their website does state this is all disabled parking. Odd, as it is a large car park and still has separately marked disabled bays, though two are now given over to electric vegicle charging. Most cars didn’t have blue badges, indicating the policiy is either not understood or ignored. I overheard a number of discussions indicating others found it very confusing too. People also clearly expected to pay. Suggest CRT should consider charging and markout a few more spaces for disabled persons, rather than the whole car park.

What a cracking wee spot. Just on the canal and couple of mins walk to the aqueduct. Had a fantastic meal in the telford inn, just across the canal. As said before, does get busy during the day. We got there friday evening and left sunday lunchtime. Toilets on car park too.
A good find thanks SFS and others that have left their reviews that helped us to decide.
Oh, and a couple of other camper vans/ MH’s there too

stayed here last last night, 5 other vans. peaceful night, toilets and chemical waste open till about 7 pub across the bridge lovely food right by the aquaduct. would stay again. free car park

what a gem of a overnight stop. Nice quiet spot on the canal. Toilets are immaculate. Theres a pub a stones throw away serving drinks and hot meals and also a tea room open through the day.

Beautiful spot and very quiet. Nice for walking and cycling and a great little pub on the canal side.
