Great carpark stop over right next to Trevor Basin, Shropshire Union Canal. Toilets are open till late as is the chemical disposal point. Very quiet at night. Not all parking is level. No parking fee. Great walks nearby. Boat cafe just around the corner and Premier corner shop 5 mins walk away. As already mentioned the signs say disabled parking only. The carpark is big enough for 30 veichles, only 5 bays are marked out for disabled visitors. speaking to a Canal & River Trust volunteer the plan WAS to make it ALL disabled parking but it never happened.View all reviews by Fluffzzz
Good location for checking out the aquaduct. Canal and River Trust signage is very unclear, but their website does state this is all disabled parking. Odd, as it is a large car park and still has separately marked disabled bays, though two are now given over to electric vegicle charging. Most cars didn’t have blue badges, indicating the policiy is either not understood or ignored. I overheard a number of discussions indicating others found it very confusing too. People also clearly expected to pay. Suggest CRT should consider charging and markout a few more spaces for disabled persons, rather than the whole car park.View all reviews by EileenM
What a cracking wee spot. Just on the canal and couple of mins walk to the aqueduct. Had a fantastic meal in the telford inn, just across the canal. As said before, does get busy during the day. We got there friday evening and left sunday lunchtime. Toilets on car park too.View all reviews by khamilton
