Great stop! Safe, quiet at night and totally free!! We stayed two nights. You park in the metro park so in front of the tram stop Venda Nova, could not be more convienient for exploring this beautiful city. We paid €11.60 for a 24hr ticket (we chose Z3) and the first day got off at Trinidad. If you walk down hill from the station you will see tourist info on your right and we picked a map up there and the girl showed us what was worth seeing.View all reviews by smilerfun
Be warned it is very steep especially the last bit before you reach the river. There is a vernicular railway back up for around €2.50 if you can’t face it.
Second day we took the tram all the way over the bridge.
Facilities Water and dump
We have a 6.5 m van and were far too big for bays, our van is too low at the back too sit over the footpath. We did not stayView all reviews by duncanjo
Very good stopover to visit Porto, although a basic car park there are fill & empty facilities, cafe & an Aldi nearby. Opposite the ‘Vende Nova’ tram stop (dogs allowed) into Porto which is easy to use & option for English instructions. It does say space for 8 mh’s but over 20 the night we were there. Quiet night except for lads in a car playing music around midnight for half hour, but the area seems quite safe. Minimal noise from road till morning, faintly heard 1st tram around 6. Our sat nav couldnt find it but SFS directions spot on! Would recommend.View all reviews by marty
Surprisingly one of the quitest nights we’ve had this trip. No issues whatsoever. Found a cafe come bakery to the right as you go out, about 3 mims walk away theres also a laundrette there. Tram ride was hassle free with the help of the locals €3.80 return. Dogs welcome on the tram and in most places in porto. Highly recomend a visit to the train station when in porto.View all reviews by irishwales
