Stunning spot at the edge of the lake & a small picnic area provided by a local farmer. The village is nice has a couple of small shops, bars & a restaurant. A portuguese van parked up with us & went fishing from the edge of the defunct road & on an inflatable kayac. Portuguese families came & swam in the lake too.View all reviews by jezabel
This is a small area so no more than 4 vans the drive through the long narrow man street of the village with low overhanging rooves has to be negiciated to get here, I would say not for vans bigger than 8m long & 3 mtr high. There is another area at the oppposite side of the lake accessed from another lane with no access to the village. There are recycling & rubish bins.
Sadly this is not viable. We managed to get 7m mh down, but lake level is higher. No obvious place to stop, and barking dogs now in pound adjacent. 20 point turn and left.View all reviews by southbourne
Lovely rural village with 2 mini markets 3 cafes. Spoke to the locals and I understand this was provided by a local farmer. No facilities but the are toilets at the bus "station ", water is available in the village but did not find it. They want our custom but made a pointed request not to empty waste into the lake. Recycling at the top of the road. Cafe Tome helped with this information which is just passed the recycling bins at the top of the road.View all reviews by windrush
