Great spot to spend a night or two services free and it looks like there might be electric eventually though this wasn't connected when we were there. Really liked Ugijar it has a good selection of shops and bars whilst still retaining it's character. We spent one night at the service area and then moved to the car park in the town, which is also mentioned on the site, for a night.View all reviews by Twinkletoes55
Service area is on the edge of the village besides what looks like a dissused police station.
We stopped here for 2 nights to explore the eastern Alpujarras on our scooter so for us it was very convenient. It isn't signed but easy for us to find as other vans were there. You need to open the gate to enter (not locked). Services good although only one water tap. Only 4 spaces but if full the parking area in the town (without services) is huge. Quiet at night but road is fairly busy around 6 onwards. Dia nearby. Good free stopover.View all reviews by jeang
We didn’t stop here as we couldn’t find it! Drove into town and parked in the car park oposite the Guardia Civil (have left a review for this also). However we drove back here the next morning to look again and found it this time. There don’t appear to be any signs and the gate is closed, but it is open. We used it to empty our waste and fill up with water. It’s great that the local council has provided this for free. Seems an ok stopover, with nice views to the surrounding hills, although we preferred the town car park as it was close to the centre.View all reviews by BezzaG
Marked bays for 4 vans probably no longer than 7 Metres. There are 4 EH points but not connected. There is only one water tap so it is very likely that people rinse out the cassette toilet with this tap (German van did this whilst I was waiting to top up!)View all reviews by dij260
