A campsite / car park next to a lake and river with some beautiful walks in the mountains. Apparently there are portable toilets in the summer. The only way to access the site is approx. 3 miles of very narrow lanes so may be tricky for large motorhomes. Especially if you meet another coming in the opposite direction!
There is an honesty box at the entrance to the field asking for £5 for overnight parking.

The world would be a better place if there were more sites like this one. Just a field with a gravel turning circle, planty of grass for parking or tents. A lake. A stream. An honesty box: £5 for the night, £2 to park. Great walking. No facilties, but it ain’t for folk who need ‘facilities’ (i’ve given max score because the site should not be marked down as it does not offer them). The approach would be challenging in anything wider than a car or normal van: super narrow with intermittant passing places. Recomended for concientious campers who love it wild... and take ALL their sh*t away with them. I love it.

Fantastic site no Facilities. Ill be back

Narrow bendy lane restricts site to small vans

But please can the scanky campers stay away! Going for shits behind walls right next to the site! Take all your rubbish avs shit away or dig a deep hole to shit in

Idyllic location but no facilities so adjacent fields were being used as lavatories with loo paper strewn around. Also midges and mozzies. The car park attracts walkers but empties by late afternoon. There were a few tents and a couple of campervans - it was May bank holiday and half term so great for not being busy. Only a few miles from lovely beaches and there's a fantastic butcher in Dyffryn Ardudwy for the barbecue. Check out the ancient burial site a few minutes walk from the butcher.
