The Merlimont Camping Car Area, operated by CCP. Barrier controlled, smart card entry, EHU, WiFi , fully automated, fill and dump. 13 euros a day. The adjacent free car park is height barriered. Increasingly this is the new French Aire model. This one is a short walk from the beach at a Skegness type resort. Handy for a visit to beach, a swim and an ice cream. although a bit breezy and no dogs allowed on beach, but ok in Aire. Demarcation now added.View all reviews by davebav50
Very well located for the beach and restaurants on the main street. Also good bus service to Le Touquet.View all reviews by b20pjg
Typical CCP site. Wifi very good and it really is 500 metres to the beach as I measured it with GPSr!View all reviews by ralphss8
Aire is a barren grey site but OK for a night. Places are not marked out which can cause problems
Very average site. Quite unappealing visually and underfoot, it's the other half of a local carpark, the services are a bit slow, it took 3-4 card taps to fill 60 litres. Zero demarcation so people park as they wish. Might mean high season there might not be pitches as advertised on the website. Wifi was good apart from pointless marketing info gathering. Local town was shutting down for the season, so seemed sadly listless, probably better at other times.View all reviews by feisticon
Perfect site located in a quiet residential area. Electric hook up 6 amp, water, waste and fast Wi-fi.View all reviews by raffik
Close to High street and beach. Barrier to enter. The town is very quiet and slightly run down but good base for visiting other places
well not as good as saint saturnin but then not as new. pitches not marked out. usual service point which means awkward cdp. but handy for the town and beach. can recommend the pizzas in town not cheap but still excellent.View all reviews by igup
wifi nice and strong but problems getting on with so many people o the site.
Service point now complete. Very quiet at this time of year ( March ) but several restaurants open,at least at lunchtime.View all reviews by phoenixash
We are big fans of camping carpark aires due to cooking outside and awnings and outside furniture being permitted.View all reviews by GuyW
At the time of our stay the service area was still not complete but work was in progress.
The aire is well laid out but i am not sure how it will go down with local residents when busy.
An eady 500m walk to an imense sandy beach.
The town itself in December was deseted but made for lovely dog walks along the beach.
Still no services except for electricity available, and no sign that the service point was due to be installed. Otherwise it is just a flat-ish car park area surfaced with hard core in a residential area not far from the beach. No view. Year round pricing with no discount for the winter. Nice village though, on a great beach with some lovely walks around.View all reviews by vanessavan
very convenient for Calais and neatly laid out. however, it has been opened before water and waste have been completed, but still charged at the full rate. EHU not good, and 3KW trips the borne. WiFi strong. 500 yd walk to beach, but bitterly cold wind kept us indoors.View all reviews by thursdayschild
Great location, close to beach, quite site and area but it is late season, visit La Mangrove great food great service, on sea front only a few minutes walk, only down side was the Waste facilities were not finished when we visited but it is a very new site and well worth stopping off even if your on your way back to Calais it’s only a short journey from here.View all reviews by richiebird
