Do not be tempted to arrive before 5pm over a weekend - at the earliest as you will be disappointed. It is a very popular spot and cars will park up the road as the parking area fills up quickly and it makes passage for a motorhome difficult. The photo is very deceptive. We parked at a much nicer spot at the Golf Club in Fairbourne for just £10 with stunning views across the mountain and easy access to Barmouth along the coastal path.View all reviews by themotoroamers
40s couple stayed 1 night. Fantastic quiet spot was busy in the day but overnight just us and 2 other vans. Toilets open all night. Flat tarmac. Walked to Barmouth over bridge. Can walk or cycle to Dollgellau, Farnbrough and Barmouth on special paths - no traffic. Can also get the train north or south. Highly recommend.View all reviews by tessysmom

Our first time car camping and it won’t be the last. Great, quiet place to stay. There was only us and 2 motorhomes. 24hr toilets (old but very welcome) and a lovely walk over the estuary to Barmouth.View all reviews by Bigwelshdave
Great overnight stop, we have stayed here 3 times now and been the only campervan here. Lovely walk over the sea bridge to Barmouth (or you can get the train) 24 hour toilets tooView all reviews by digger006

Station carpark but never busy.
Toilet open 24 hours.
Lots of walks.
Lovely walk across the bridge into Barmouth where you will find various places to eat and drink.
Very quiet and felt extremely safe.
Spent a few days at a great spot on a carpark in cardigan bay next to the train station. Morfa Mowddach. Brilliant access to Barmouth and Fairbourne and a train ride away from Harlech. Toilets and water. You must respect the place though, the local authority maintains the toilets but an old guy comes around each day to pick up litter. He is a great person to talk to to find out what is going on in the area so help him to keep it clean.View all reviews by jimglover2
Stayed overnight. Arrived about 6.00pm on a Friday night, one other van and a car here. Caught the train from the station to Fairbourne, miniature train to the ferr across to Barmouth... day in Barmouth, wlaked across the bridge, but can get the mainline train back to the halt station. On arriving back at 4.00pm Saturday afternoon, the car park was rammed due to nature trail walkers. Had to have a cuppa to let the carpark clear to get the van out! Public loo nearbyView all reviews by spursygirl
Stayed here last night after moving on from the nearby Penmaenpool overnight stop. Very quiet. Next to train track but trains very infrequent and none overnight. Recommended. Toilets open all nightView all reviews by joneseyitalia
Stayed here for the weekend in August, very qiet at night, so much so that a young fox ventured on to the car park. Toilets open all day. Nice walk to Barmouth, also nature trail and picnic tables by toilets. Will definitely stay there again.View all reviews by mcmahonj1950
