Lovely area, tarmaced and although some traffic, it soon dies down. Bins are cleaned regularily.

Not far from A1, perfect stopover to break journey. We were first ones to stop last night, so pulled into secluded bay. Lovely views, rubbish bin provided in layby. Another motorhome must have arrived late as was there when we woke, plenty of room in layby which is screened from road by hedging.

Stopped off here at about 7:00 pm and, as there were no other campers, we parked in the ‘secluded’ spot noted eatlier surrounded by hedges and trees. Very pleasant and the cows even strolled over to greet us! Minor traffic on the adjacent road, but not disturbing and the parking area has recently been resurfaced and so “pot holes no more”! By 8:30 pm three other vans had arrived but we did not feel cramped in any way. Well worth an overnight stay.

There is also a waste bin and by morning it had been emptied thus maintaing the clean and tidy look to the layby.

(Middle aged couple and a Tinetan Terrier!)

Small lay by separated from the road by a hedge although room for one small van at the far end screened by higher trees making it a bit more secluded. Some traffic noise but road is only moderately busy so didn't bother us. Quite nice view down to Budle Bay. OK for a brief overnighter but you wouldn't want to stay longer!
