Overnight parking. Large car park to the rear of Lakeside Aquarium and next to the Lakeside Station for the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Steam Railway. We checked at the ticket office and there are no restrictions on motorhomes staying overnight as long as a valid parking ticket is displayed.. There are toilet facilities on the station platform and a water tap on a post in the car park but not sure if this in drinking water. The Lakeside Hotel is close by with a public bar.

Lovely stop for overnighting, parked in nearest bay to the lake and fantastic view in the morning.
Toilets on platform open 24 hours, nice and clean.
Perfect for the lake steamers to take you to Bowness and Ambleside.
Myself and another overnighter did a litter pickup from a motorhome that left early which was much appreciated by the staff.
For God’s Sake you lazy Ba######ds, don’t dump rubbish and give the rest of us a bad name.

Enjoyed a lovely quiet night here. Four other vans here. Fairly busy until sunset as its the main car park for the steam train and lake cruisers. Great view across the lake.

Still £4 for 10 hours which called for a late night dash for a ticket. Take change.
We parked on the overflow carpark at the back during the day while we went off exploring. Steam train and boat both set of from the Lakeside. Book online as restricted seating due to covid. Good walk upto the High Dam from here.
On the evening we moved to the main car park which overlooks the lake, three campervans joined us for the night. Very peaceful nights sleep, would stay again if in the area.

great overnight stay. perfect for access to the boat and steam train. we have two young children and have stayed here for two nights as it's been so easy for us to get around from here.
the water tap is behind the annoying children's train, attached to the ice cream kiosk.
we've been the only ones to stay here too.
great value and handy to have access to a toilet too! they do ask that the toilet chemicals arent dumped in the toilets.

Easy to find location. Plenty of space for several motorhomes but we were the only overnighters on a Saturday evening. Good for steam train rides or lake cruises with the ferry port and station on site. Hotel with bar next to the car park. Still £4 for 10 hours.

Rocked up in the eve loads of room in the far carpark out of the way, lovely views, toilets open all night and only £4 for the night. Shame the pub is for hotel guests only at the moment but that is understandable.

What a wonderful spot! Lovely and quiet, great location with lovely views, children jumped in the lake whilst we watched on with a cold beer. Toilets open 24 hours. We parked round the back and out of the way over night. £4 for overnight parking, cannot complain!!

Asked at ticket sales about stopping overnight and guy said ok but we must pay. £4 per 10hr. We parked right at the end leaving space for buses to turn. Very quiet night. Please pay if stopping, this may mean a 11pm walk to the ticket machine. Toilets on train platform seem to be open all the time.

10 hours parking for £4

Arrived around 21:30 and as i had never been to the area before expexted to be searching for this but was was well sign posted. the postcode took me to it, be cautious of the narrow roads on approach to this place though.

Very large carpark. I noticed 1 other person staying in a motorhome but also alot of cars im guessing due to the hotels close by.

Toilet facilites 24 hour on the station platform within 1 minute walk.
(I parked ar the far end with side window covered against a bush to keep the stealth look)

Great location for the steam railway, cruises and also the car muesem pick up point (10 min transfer)

Lovely quiet spot. Toilets open 24 hours. If you inform them at the ticket office they will take you registration number and leave you alone. Quite a few cars use the car park overnight but there's plenty of space. £4 including overnight
