Purpose built aire on man made beach, against access road to main Port, beach & rows of trees providing shade to large number of picnic benches..great for breakfast out when sunny,View all reviews by jemabarr
Quite a long walk to the main / historic area of Gijon, through some slightly rundown areas & some areas currently being demolished, but hey its free, good services & a sunny beach 10yds away, we took last space available when arrived 2ish, there were a couple mh’s in the normal carpark adjacent, we were the largest size there at 7.9m & slightly sticking out into road, . Turning area at end of row is brilliant idea
In late March, there was plenty of other motorhomes but didn't struggle for a spot. It was very windy so, although the views of the beach were lovely and there were lots of picnic benches, we stayed away from the sea front. Would be great in better weather! Road noise was fine, 48 hour stay for free.View all reviews by ManchesterCouple
There were water points but no toilets/showers nearby that we found. Walking distance of bars & restaurants and around 45 min walk to the main beach/centre of gijon. Lovely town, plenty to see.
Stayed a Friday night and found the road noise from the Port constant throughout the night. Had to park in the car Park with possibly 10 other MH's as MH specific area full. No problems and possibly better as cars parked between MH's therefore giving you more space between vehicles. View to the Beach through trees was nice but to be front line with it you really needed to be in something under 7m as there is a high wall which stops over 7m reversing over the grass and consequently sticking out.View all reviews by javeasteve
Nice location, right by the beach with picnic tables under pine trees right next to the aire. Gets very busy, with units spilling over onto the carpark next door. Although the site is listed for larger units, most of the bays are better suited for small-medium motorhomes. There are four or so longer bays that run alongside the road. Services are basic but functional. By a fairly busy road. Bars and restaurants nearby. Ideal for a few days but arrive early.View all reviews by calvino
Parking close to the port and a pleasant beach. The parking is dedicated to Motorhomes with water grey and black dump and bins. We didn’t find this Aire noisy at night and even in the day it isn’t bad. Short walk to modern city shopping with a walk through the city of approx 4K. Into the old town.View all reviews by jezabel
Reasonably quiet during the day but once the ships start loading or unloading containers it gets a lot noisier. Beach just infront but no dogs allowed on beach and a restaurant/cafe nearby too. Garage just on the corner before the aire. Bonus its free and got usual services except elec and wifi.View all reviews by hannahjones687
