Super campsite with friendly welcome, pristine facilities, a swimming pool and a very good restaurant onsite. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who welcome you as friends. Shady and full sun emplacements are on offer, all of which are flat or near flat, although on a sloping setting.
Lots to do in the area where the famous Georges Sands lived and wrote. A lovely walk along the river takes you to La Chatre, and there are many waymarked cycle and walking routes accessible from the campsite.
The Heritage Village of Gargillesse, the museums of La Chatre, Chateau d'Ars and the Chateau at Sarzay are must-sees.

Super location 20 mins riverside walk to La Chatre. Great for cycling, dog walking & lovely safe areas for children to explore. Excellent modern heated sanitary facilities , outdoor pool and large level hedged pitches some with water & waste. Best campsite restaurant ever 23€ 3 courses all local Berry wines & produce.View all reviews by jennythompson
Great stopping off point site open all year restaurant weekends only Oct to March. Not to be missed thank you this was our second visit

Received a v warm welcome from Valerie (owner) upon arrival & given a choice of pitches. Plenty of helpful info about the surrounding area & directions of walk (20 mins) into town along the river. A lovely rural campsite with modern & immaculate WC/shower facilities, good sized pitches, some with own water & electric supply. The restaurant onsite is excellent, serving local food & wine. Would highly recommend & will be returning in the summer.View all reviews by figerby
