Middle age couple, 1st time motorhome users. stopped here for a meal and asked about parking up overnight. Wow, wish we never asked! a tall middle aged waiter (light coloured hair) told us "NO" and when we asked about anywhere else nearby, we were given a huge lecture about "the likes of you destroying our countryside, leaving litter and human waste" "you can't just park up anywhere you want you know!! you'll get an on the spot fine, the police will bang on your door any time of night and move you on" This waiter was so rude he really made us feel unwelcome and worried about not having a site booked for that night. food wasn't great either

A lovely place to stop with plenty of parking for vans however they no longer allow overnight stops due to the bad element who left rubbish and toilet waste in the car park.

Well worth stopping for a beer, good food and a wander

Stayed here on the way back down from doing the NC500. Really nice stop off, very freindly staff, nice restuarant. No services but quite with the occasional big wagon going past, plenty of open space for dogs to run too. Defiantely use again.

This is clearly a popular gathering site.
A large gravel car park out back and warm and welcoming inside. Happy for us to stop over if we we buying beer or food, which were both good.
Garage next door and shop in the village.
No services.

Excellent Gravel car park... Manager fine with us staying over depending how busy they are. You must see him 1st before parking up and if room in the car park leave him your registration plate number.

The Gathering Inn does amazing food at reasonable prices.. challenge anyone to try the full rack of ribs £14

Few mins walk to the folk museum, and car park is next to a fuel station that sell all sorts from Calor Gas to milk.
