Excellent overnight stop. Unsure about using water tap as per previous comments re. cassette toilet rinsing. So not used. Pleasant walk around chateau and uphill to commerce. Bars and cafes open.

Stayed Thursday and Friday 6th sept. Busy. 20 vans on the Aire proper and a further 26 in the 2 car parks adjacent. Both had their height barriers open. Nice town though hilly, with pretty park and of course the chateau which occupied us for most of an afternoon.

Fabulous location to visit the town and castle. Both are well worth the visit. Castle does close for lunch so if visiting get in at opening time if like wandering around as we entered at 10.15 and were asked to leave at 12.30. Lovely cafe next to entrance. Can imagine it gets very busy as limited parking and so popular to visit the town. Free services, water was clean but, as usual you don't let your container touch the actual tap. Need watering can or similar as not a hose pipe connection.

Slightly sloping gravel/dirt free Aire with free services (no electric) + a view of the tops of the towers of the chateau. As previously mentioned, we didn't trust the fresh water tap. Nice walk through the gardens up the hill to the old town from which there is an excellent view of the old chateau (although dogs weren't allowed into the garden viewing area). Everything was shut on a Sunday in January. Quiet on an evening and an early morning cockerel. Small grassy area for the dogs. Decent stop

Excellent aire.
Very well placed for a short walk to the Chateau, and the town. Also, there's a lovely walk around the town. Fresh water, elsan and grey water dump next to entrance.
Be aware this aire gets very busy - would advise arrival lunchtime / early afternoon.

Excellent Aire with easy access to the town and superb views of the famous Chateau. Plenty of space and remarkably quiet considering proximity to a busy town. Only niggle was water point very low down next to chemical emptying point and had obviously been used to rinse cassettes, so did not risk it.

Great Aire across the road from the Chateau. The signposted town walk through the gardens is lovely and a lot easier than walking up the hill to the town at the top and everything is FREE x

Beautiful, quiet and spacious. But I think I had better type more!
Lovely FREE stop on our journey, Forgeres is a lovely town with a fantastic Chateau. The Aire is on hard standing, mainly gravel and is in line astern format. Plenty of room but this is a popular place so arrive early and you should get in, even if you have to wait for someone to leave. Be aware that there are two electric car charging bays as you enter the Aire and you should not park there.

Well worthy. Have to disagree with the view, the view at night from your motorhome when they turn the lights on and youre sat outside with a glass of vino is to die for. Well worthy of walking about the town

Good site next to the chateau with a walk uphill into the town. I used it as a stop over between mid Brittany and a site on the Seine before going to Dieppe. Facilities fine. Might be difficult to get into at times in August but I had no problem. The site doesn't have a view but it is well worth doing the signposted town walk along the wall of the chateau as there are great views over the town. A good place to stop.

Dedicated motorhome parking area opposite the medieval Castle in Fourges, free parking, water and waste disposal. Parking is on reinforced gravel/grass and parked inline rather than side by side which is much better.
The town of Fourges is a real find, the Castle complete with a water filled moat and it's thirteen towers, is really quite impressive, and the public gardens are a credit to the town. The castle apparently dates back to the 11th century and costs 8€ each to visit.
We parked at the aire and went into town to eat, stopping at a nice street side restuarant "La Duchesse Anne" at the castle gate. We didn't stay overnight at the aire as we had other plans, but have no reason to suspect it would not be a good place to stop if required.
Well worth a visit.
