Medium motorhome under 22 feet. Spent a very peaceful night here after a really good meal & drinks in pub. Plenty of walks nearby for dogs and pub is very dog friendly. Highly recommend. Good stopover when travelling either north or south on A1.

We arrived late Sunday morning to beat the rush for their popular Sunday lunch. Staff, Alison and co. were very welcoming and dog friendly. An enjoable lunch and libations.
There is a convenience shop nearby and some walks, close to 2 National Trust properties.

Not a big car park but two 7.5 metre vans managed to park up overhanging onto the grass. Owner and bar staff very friendly. Superb meal and very good real ale. Note that meals are served from 6-30 during the winter. Paper shop is just around the corner. Boundary / Downtown shopping centre close by. Would defo. call again.

Free parking, excellent overnight stop, we had a very warm welcome here. Pub is open 12:00 until 23:00, Restaurant closes 21:30. We had a comfortable and quiet night. For dog walking turn right out of the car park and playing field is about 400 yards on the right. For convenience store turn left out of the car park and shop is only 50yds on the left. Looks like there are 2 EHU points but we didn't ask if this was available to campers (sorry).
