One of our favourite spots just for the stunning view over the beach. It is only a layby by the side of the road but fairly quiet at night. Fantastic Cafe/Restaurant on the beach called Sammy's , great food.View all reviews by shelleyburnard
We stayed here 1 night, weather not good but thats normal. About 10 campers staying. Great for surfing, dogs welcome, 2 bars serving food and toilets open all night. Staff in bar very helpful giving advise as to how far the tide comes in. Very chilled and relaxedView all reviews by tinsley
Would highly recommend.
Camping in the beach has now been stopped. I dont know why, or how its policed, but its what I was told.View all reviews by steandann
Wilded camped here in our demountable camper for 1 night. Brilliant. no problem whatsoever, toilets open all night, pub/grub close by and locals friendly and happy to give advice about where to park and stay. You will need to understand the tide and respect the ground, as its on the beach, but if you take care you'll be fine. It was a high point of our visit to Ireland.View all reviews by nigehogg
There a a sign stating that camping on the beach is not allowed. Don't know if this is new.View all reviews by demsley
Drove motorhome onto the beach stayed couple of days. Everyone was very chilled locals and visitors. Lovely walks. Beach is fantastic. Remember to keep your drive wheels on the firm sand. Soft sand at the back has no grip and you dig in. Shop was useful.View all reviews by dcigadget
