I paid the £2.20 overnight fee for a car as no-one would know I'm in there in my estate car,. Sign states no overnight or camping except in motorhome bays.
Anyway after a walk out in Malham Cove and a night drinking in Skipton. We set down to go to sleep only to be circled for 45 minutes by a car flashing lights and opening closing doors, I can only assume it was a dogging site! Good night sleep after they left at midnight.
Toilets locked overnight.

15 campers in here last weekend!
we use this car park on the way up to Scotland and have been using it since 2011.
it was a good place to stop but is now not so good, spoilt by motorhomes taking 2 car parking spaces. Some dumping waste grey water in the bushes.
The car park warden next day as she now knows us said the council were talking about changing it to No over night camping for motorhomes. She said it is a car park for cars but when motorhomes take 2/3 spots the council is losing money
It only takes some people over stepping the mark to spoil it for others
I suggest Park in one spot
Take your grey water home or find a camp site, nice one at Gargrave.

We stayed here in December 2019. We arrived at about 3pm and by this point there were already more motorhomes than the three allocated bays. We parked in an ordinary bay and had no problems. By 11pm there were 15 motorhomes in the carpark.

Great access to shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Well lit and felt very safe. Great to see something like this in the UK.

all 3 motorhome spaces were occupied but we fitted into a normal size bay, stayed overnight. £5 paid by card or cash at machine, select that you're staying for £5 overnight. easy short walk to pubs, food outlets, shops etc. toilets in the car park are open daytime only. nice quiet spot, this is our 3rd visit.

Arrived just after 6:00pm and found that the dedicated motorhome bays were all taken, but almost all the car park was empty of cars, so there was plenty of room for the approx. 15 Motorhomes already there. As others have said, ideally placed for the canal basin and the town centre. The only trouble was paying the very reasonable £5 overnight fee. I didn't have that amount in coins, but didn't think it would be a problem as the pay machine took debit/credit cards. When trying to pay however, it started at 20p, then jumped to £2.20, then went to £15. Try as I might I couldn't get it just just charge £5!

Arrived here mid-morning today after a night at a pub stopover nearby. Yes, there may only be three motorhome bays, but well done to Skipton for actually providing some. One bay was free and we parked in that. Other motorhome campers immediately came talking to us. At the moment, at dusk, there are thousands of starlings and the murmurations are fabulous. One camper told us that the traffic warden had parked them across two normal spaces. Apparently, if the front and back wheels of the motorhome are within one space then that is all that needs to be paid for. Toilets on the car park were clean and free. Will be back here soon for a stopover.

Again, yes well done Skipton. Had a great time exploring Skipton, plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and loads of things to do. Flat rate for Motorhomes (6pm to 9am) £5 a night and normal charges during day. £5.50 for 9 hours parking in the day. Toilets on site and easy access to everything. Very quiet at night.

When I put this site on in aug 2016 I did not take any pictures, I was very disappointed with the bays and the situation of them. However i have been back and have put some pictures on to let others see what the problems could be, apart from that nice town quiet nights sleep plenty restaurants, bars, in town which is a short walk.

Only three spaces, so you can't guarantee a spot, but we arrived at 11 to find all 3 occupied, and they were all free by 2pm, so we were fine - just parked in a standard bay and took the dog for a walk. Two spaces are rather dark because of trees. Excellent location, you can walk straight onto the canal, and into town, there are woods for dog walking nearby. Toilets are basic but adequate. You can stay up to 3 nights, but it's really a one night stopover in a delightful market town.

Not impressed total of 3 motor home parking bays 2 of them under trees also if your outfit is over 6 meters and a car parks in front of you or behind you will not get out.
No pictures taken didn't think it was worthy of pictures disappointed looks like an after thought by the council.
