Great place ! Lovely walk into the City centre all along the prom (3.5miles) passing a pub on the way. Decent though expensive pub 2 mins at the back of parking spot. Quiet overnight with good views of the river & plenty of walking for dogs or kicking a ball. Cant believe it was free & will deffo return.

A good place to overnight. Great for dog walks and cycling into Liverpool. Very quiet only fishermen coming and going really. Nice views of the River Mersey. Will definitely stay again.

A lovely spot right beside the river Mersey and with fabulous views of the sunset. Easy cycle to Liverpool, or a pleasant promenade walk. Plenty of space to tire your dog out too. There's a great cafe nearby during the day, and a pub for evening grub.
There was a little noise with cars when the pub closed, but nothing to disturb us. I'd use this spot again.

We really enjoyed rhis overnight in tge car parking area at rhe end near rhe adventure centre. Quiet apart from the occasional plane and loud birds. We biked inro the city and Albert dock . Plenty of bins. No toilets near us but some further away. Lots of people walking dogs and open soaces. No cars at night. Recommend.

Good location for a trip into Liverpool without being right in the city. Dog walkers in the afternoon but quite a lot of cars stopping with their engines running until late into the night - bit nervewracking when you are on your own ????. The pub nearby doesn’t allow dogs.

As others have said just a small car park next to a large grassed area with a Miller @ Carter pub nearby. Seemed popular in the day with several people waling dogs or playing football with their kids. Got a little noisy around 11ish when a couple of cars pulled in playing loud music but it was saturday night so might not be a regular thing.

Stayed two nights. Great location next to the mersey promonade. Free. No services. 2 pubs nearby. Cycled the prom all the way into the city for the day. ( about 3 miles) Bus tour. Cathedral tour and mersey ferry. Busy shopping centre.
Spent a pleasant afternoon in the cavern. Great live music and atmosphere. Highly recommend
Some noise over night. Young people enjoying themselves. Could be a problem in the summer.

We stayed here overnight and thoroughly enjoyed it. We parked up early morning in a free parking area and enjoyed a walk into Liverpool down the promenade. It’s just over three miles but a great walk ( buses also run). Great views and a couple of play areas that kept our toddler happy. There’s a cafe with toilets that opened at 0930 and a recently opened miller and carter steakhouse. Thoroughly recommend this place.

We parked on the only shadow available, it's a tough spot for the hot weather we were experiencing. Nonetheless, amazing spot, nice views of the Mercey river. Otterspool Promenade conversion is amazing (a local lady told us it was basically built on top of rubbish – they did very well,I would say), less than 25 min cycling to Albert dock, always by the river.

There are several stopping places along the promenade, all tarmac and mostly flat. Pick your spot. There are a couple of places with height restrictions and no-overnight signs, but mostly open and unrestricted. Busy with dog walkers until late evening, but quiet overnight. Just over three miles from the centre of Liverpool and an hourly bus runs from close-by. No facilities, other than a few picnic tables. There is a child’s playground at one point.

Perfect for longer motor homes as you can reverse over the grass. No height restrictions and free. City bikes available to rent in the Carpark or the bus to Liverpool is round the corner. About an hours walk on the prom to Albert Dock or the bus drops you opposite. Will be going back

I live in Liverpool but often go here. It's a great spot with lots of green space and nice views overlooking the River Mersey. There is a nice pub with good food , and if you've got kids there is a brilliant play centre with a nice cafe and there is also a free skateboard / bike ramp park. This is all free parking and very safe . It is a lovely walk along the prom to Liverpool in 30 mins or local buses in 10 mins . Great spot
