Amazing site which we had all to ourselves. Dog was free to wander about as it is far from a very, very quiet road and no sheep. views were terrific. We came over from 701 which was fine for us in a small campervan, but wouldn't recommend anything bigger. It is in the middle of nowhere so no facilities.View all reviews by claygirl
This spot is off a Single track road but with plenty of passing places. Beautiful scenery, great walking. Slopes from right to left but sorted out with ramps. Very quiet, we were the only ones there. Might be a bit tight for larger mohomes, only one way in and out.View all reviews by LX14
Amazing stopover! Managed to level up. Great views over loch. However, we would strongly recommend you approach via A708 rather than A701 as the latter has weight restrictions on bridges, not so many passing places and much further on the minor approach road.View all reviews by Jules15
Great location, limited traffic, plenty of sheep. Very quiet overnight. Plenty of walking aroundView all reviews by kevinwright
Stayed Christmas day and night. On our own and it was brilliant. No services at this time of year but as said previously there are toilets in the summer months at the boathouse.View all reviews by shadowhood
Numerous small firepits to use (just stones in a circle). Great view of the hills and reservoir itself. Quite messy with sheep droppings though so be aware. Easy drive to the location from the east, all be it single track.
Stunning, tranquil place. No phone coverage, no TV...View all reviews by PhilBalderstone
Rated 10 for facilities, even though there are none, but we knew that before getting there
Brilliant place to stay, camp fires set up in front of each parking spot.View all reviews by yuneec
Totally no phone or internet coverage.
Stunning views and the owner has clearly made it inviting for people to stay over.
Please take your rubbish away with you.
This isn't one to spoil.
Again kindling left on the info board.
Super nice views.
Toilets in boathouse when open.
Absolutely fabulous place to stay, miles from anywhere and totally cut off from the world.View all reviews by lupusa1
Access is along 4 miles of single track road, but there are loads of passing places.
The site itself has parking areas looking directly over the loch, with camp fire facilities. Someone had even left a bag of kindling on the notice board.
It was a refreshing change from all of the sites which start off by telling you what you cant do.
There are toilets, but in the boathouse, which was locked mid October
Fantastic spot, it’s a long drive down single track roads, not for the faint-hearted, but the quiet and the views more than make up for the remoteness. It’s a place to go to for its own benefit as it’s not actually on the way to anywhere else, nor is it near any major through routes. That said, I will definitely come again. Well marked grass bays and firepits provided.View all reviews by keeflester
We stayed at the first car park overnight then came here in the morning to have a look. This is where we should have stayed, know for next time.View all reviews by PWT1
