Open from Jan to Dec

There are currently five Trust camping spots in West Harris, located in Losgaintir (Luskentyre) and Seilebost (Shelibost). These spots offer fantastic views and are marked with a small sign. We are asking visitors to pay £5 per night at each spot. Caravans, campervans and tents are all welcome. As a charity we will invest all earnings back into community projects, including site maintenance.
The nearest disposal point for campervan and caravan waste tanks is at Leverburgh Pier. Please do not empty your tank anywhere else, such as the sea.

Spent a couple of nights on the West Harris trust laybyes, what can be said that hasn’t already been said about the location, as wild camping spots go, it doesnt get any better. £5 a night charitable donation via their web site paypal account.

You cannot fault the location and value for money proposition, which is an honesty charge via the Trust website. Worth every penny and wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. If you want to pick any particular spot in the several alpark-ups then I'd suggest arriving before 16.00. Apart from the toilets at the cemetery the only facilities are for waste disposal.

Several lay-by opportunities along this very quiet road. All with views of the beautiful Luskentyre sandy inlet. Be prepared to squeeze yourself in with other units.
