It's a really nice and quite spot, you feel safe. It's about a 15 min walk to the dog friendly sandy beach, which is a bonus in Spain to allow dogs.
We didn't have a problem like others have mentioned previously in finding it, clicking Google maps through search for sites. Maybe it's updated. I would definitely recommend. .It has water, grey and black waste. No toilet but it's free

arrived early evening no spaces left parked along road along with about 12 more motorhomes. 4.00am was woken by 3 people trying to steal the bikes of the back. I now have a bike rack damaged

great stop close to Santander ferry, lovely beach a short walk away and city centre 45 min walk. Local shops are close by. very quiet night with about 6 other vans, lovely park opposite for walking or running. a few nice cafe restaurants near the beach open even at this time of year.
as mentioned approach from the roundabout by the football stadium as it's a one way street.
all facilities are free and in good order.
would recommend

Just to repeat ... unless you see the big shiny aluminum dome, you will be driving down hill when you see it, then dont turn in, dont follow sat nav car park signs...DONT ,
You will end up stuck in a tiny car park.

Excellent facility for the town. All facilities good although no toolets. Cycle way in park opposite down to beach and along to Palace on headland where you will find seals and walruses, got here about 11.30am with plenty of spaces and not full this evening. (30th October).
Impressed with beautiful beaches and lovely water front. Nice cycle uphill tolighthouse.
Definitely recommend and use again.

Got a place at Lunchtime and stayed 2 nights. By evening totally full with vans parked in front of bay users. Some parked in street and were moved on by Police, who attended in mornings and took index no's of all vehicles using site. Services very good. Well lit, hard standing. Nice supermarket nearby across park lake. Uphill walk into Town unless you go via beach, nice bracing walk to lighthouse.

Not a bad site for an over nite stop we got here at 1730 hrs found a space but it filled up fast with people parking on the road opposite site. Short walk to the beach past football stadium with a supermarket and chemist near by. Lovely bar on sea front 8 euro for a 1 small beer 1 large and a coffee. Lovely parl opposite site with lots of places to chill out

Good well-facilitated aire and justifiably popular. More than 20 vans parked in aire and on road but all safe and acceptable.
Look out for the big, shiny metal sports stadium and enter the access road from that end.

I endorse everything TeamRienza have posted. When I came last year, the Satnav took me to the wrong end of the one way street, It tried to do the same again this year, even though it has been updated. Drive down the road to Racing Santanders Football Ground and approach from that end.
Its 800m to walk down to the beach with several bars and restaurants.
A highly rated stopover, especially for the ferry, always busy.

Great free Aire as stated by others. Pleasant open aspect across valley to high rises. Full both nights we stayed (late sept) with a few vans parked on street and down the length of the Aire at right angles to marked bays. No issues. Quiet. Good, mostly flat dedicated cycle path leads to super beaches and can be followed along seafront to city centre. Approx 20 min. Satnav still showing approach wrong way up one way street. Perhaps enter sports stadium as waypoint to keep you right. Lovely city.

Nice clean site. The water tap has a very large screw nozzle not standard size so we used our containers to fill up.

Because it is on a "long" one way road you need to approach the aire from the coastal access roundabout near El Sardinera. Neither our GPS system or Google Maps knew about the one-way road and initially screwd us up!

Nice quiet clean Aire, on a one way road, easy to access motorway when leaving. Our sat-nav took us through the town on the way there so plan your route from ferry port.

Situated in the university district just thirty minutes partly steep walk from the town and restaurants.
Clean, modern tarmaced aire. Space for about 25 units.
Water, grey and black water disposal -and all for free.
Lovely gardens and walks across the road. Good dog walking area.
Marked out pitches that all slope slightly to the back. Each pitch about 9m long by 4m wide, some with grass to overhang rear.
CAUTION:- it’s on a one way street that my Tomtom didn’t know about....

Nice, clean, surprisingly quiet (on one way minor access road), lovely park in front for walking, ducks, skating, cycling, sunbathing etc., short walk to beach and city centre. Slightly sloped - we used chocks. Services are clean and efficient, double taps. Too small for city though, often full to capacity with vans waiting. Police patrol regularly and are friendly (they let us wait for space and gave us an idea of who'd been there for how long and who might be leaving).
