Friendly, well run site. Robust, sensible COVID measures. Large pitches. Spotlessly clean facilities. Walks from the site. A lovely bar also on site, the only one we’ve actually been to for several months! And delicious pizza from the pizza van collected on the way out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, only wish it could have been longer.View all reviews by cjh1
Good site, friendly staff. Level pitches. Free wifi. Easily accessible & signposted from A685. A short walk (15 min) takes you into Kirkby Stephen with a variety of pubs, takeaways & supermarkets.View all reviews by pwatso
At the back of the site there is access to great river & viaduct walks.
We had a large, all gravel pitch with EHU, well spaced away from other tourers. The site is well set up for Covid measures. Good sized shower block
The site also features the ‘Engine Shed’ bar, open Thursday-Mondays where it is possible to purchase pizzas, curries & other regular ‘specials’
No views on site but pleasant enough outlooks
This was our second visit but certainly won’t be our last
Loved it. Lots of space, really friendly staff. shop closes at 4, bar on site opens at 4. Excellent pizzas on site. Excellent facilities. Views from the pitch limited but a walk to the bottom of the site leads to river, then on to walks and the fantastic countryside.View all reviews by mikeymoomoos

So good we booked in again next month to come with a family tent an 3 more adults plus 2 kids for a few more days.
Super clean COVID safe. Check their Facebook page for updates.
This years new edition is a small onsite bar and twice a week a travelling stonebaked pizza wagon, mmm.
Facilities clean, laundry available, small play area and heritage rail and river walks on the doorstep. going over to explore the old station across the road before we leave.
Stayed for 2 nights august bank holiday weekend. lovely well kept site, toilet block was spotless, nice hot showers. lovely walks if you take the dog, pub in nateby, black bull, very friendly and lovely food. dog friendly too. Not too much of a view from the site but when you go for a walk you then get the views of the countryside.View all reviews by kevvw

Very nice site and lovely staff clean tidy and good size pitches. Only two showers in toilets and they could do with a bit more power but there nice and hot and block is very clean. Outside pot wash with rotory dryers which is a nice to u h and washing machines and dryers in block. We walked to Nateby Inn which took 20 mins but was well worth it food was great as was the beer and staff just follow road signs and u can't miss it. Kirkby Stevens is a nice town with some interesting shops and places to eat and drink and well worth a visit.View all reviews by clogie65
Friendly welcome at this small park. Lovely large pitches well spaced apart and clean facilities with plenty of warm water. Outdoor pot wash area and small laundry. The small town of Kirkby Stephen is a 15 minute walk awayView all reviews by scenicroutekate
A friendly welcome on arrival to this well laid out and clean site.View all reviews by radioham
The gravel pitches are wide, with plenty of space to spread. Very clean toilet block, plus a laundry with washer, dryer and an electric iron too. There are mid-distance views of the Pennines and plenty of places to walk nearby.
The Stainmore heritage railway is across the road and open at weekends, with the town of Kirkby Stephen less than a mile away, with cafes and pubs.
Pronounce the town KIRBY, there is a sneaky silent K !
July 17 we visited for a walking holiday. The staff were very helpful and welcoming . Very good facilities and only a mile walk down to the village centre where there were several pubs and eateries.View all reviews by tonymilford
