What can i say, £40 a night for a fenced pirch with your own hot tub, fantastic!! Lovely welcome, shown to our pitch, great.View all reviews by caesar001
Peaceful site, red kites flying overhead, truly tranquil.
The hot tub is great with a lovely view.
Previous reviews have mentioned the price, but when you compare over £300 for a 3 night lodge break with a hot tub to £120 for our 3 night break, a no brainer.
Also the cafe looks great and the farm shop is very well stocked.
Will definitely come again.
Return trip to see if things had improved, Had high hopes on our return visit and yes the moody cow is finished but tbh it's irrelevant as its the campsite that's being reviewed, toilets and showers still not finished so portacabins still in place with no hot water in the sinks, that's over two years now, cdp still a stinky hole in the floor and no washing up facilities. Pitches are a reasonable size but overgrown with weeds and the pot holes are still as bad if not worse, it could be a lot better and should be by now £28 a night is just too much for what's available, caravan and motorhome club sites only cost this and are 400% better, £15 should be top priceView all reviews by rabbuk
Fabulous, friendly and helpful staff and the butchers/deli/ shop in the main building sells a wide selection of reasonably priced produce including beer, wine and cider.View all reviews by SteveDee62
Very much a site still under construction but at a price consistent with being much, much better. £28/night is in my opinion excessive for facilities which are primitive. Toilets and showers remain in portacabins and were dirty throughout our stay over the Easter weekend. No washing up area.
Having said that, the individual pitches are very large and flat and each are fully serviced. I am sure that when the site is complete it will be grand.
Loved this site, really warm welcome from the team on site, good location and spacious pitches. They are doing work on the site adding a toilet/shower block and will tarnac the roads which will make this a really top site. For now enjoy the good location, great welcome and on site Moody Cow shop bar and restaurant which are wortn a visit even if you dont stayView all reviews by TrishF
Wanted to visit this site since they first opened! Finally made it for a new year trip. Yes the toilet block is a porta cabin but that is the only down side. Stayed on a hot tub pitch - wanted a bit of luxery between christmas and New year! Yes it costs £40+ per night but worth it for 24hrs access to the hot tub. Don't know why people are complaining about the roads - they're not tarmaced but there's a 5mph speed limit so not sure if matters - saw bigger potholes on the roads on our way across here! Agree moody cow cafe and shop are brill. Will definitely visit again.View all reviews by jane1264
Stayed for the new year on a standard pitch. The staff are very friendly and accommadating. The cafe/bar/shop are excellent. Took advantage of the £12 night offer. Cannot complain for the price. Although the toilets and showers are a porta cabin they were fine and kept clean despite the muddy weather.View all reviews by juliet
The new toilet block thats being built looks good.
Echo what other reviewers say but add that the drive ways absolutely 5mph-max pothole-ridden, muddy and puddle-filled!View all reviews by timsinc
Took advantage of cheap rate £12 a night with ehu. Rural site off main road between Aberdaeron and New Quay.Toilet block in process of being built but portaloos and showers spotless. Access to be redone in new year. Food available in restaurant, very good and reasonably priced. There is also a farm shop. Can recommend steak and kidney pies. Some pitches have hot tubs at £45. eView all reviews by jaybee0
Ended up staying 3 nights.
Good flat spacious hard standing pitches with EHU and water. Hot tubs on many pitches (£40p.n.).View all reviews by ants
Toilet and shower portacabins not as clean as they could have been but not bad. No hot water in hand basins. Washing up sinks-no hot water or drainage, runs straight out onto your feet (They need to get the toilet block finished).
Nice farm shop and restraunt on site (nice cake £1.50).
Good dog exercise field.
Good value for winter price £12 P.N. But wouldn't want to pay £25 high season.
Still a work in progress but showing great promise! We decided to try a hot tub pitch which was a first for us whilst camping. Very warm and under it's own wooden shelter with views over open countryside it was great fun. Toilet block still under construction but portaloos and showers more than adequate. Approach roads quite rough but then no need for traffic calming. We enjoyed our well priced meals in the Moody Cow in pleasant surroundings.View all reviews by janeamos
cant fault the place, staff are so friendly and helpful we are on the site now, and with the bar , farm shop and Moody Cow for food, what more could you ask for, you need to remember this place is only 1 year old, but water, grey waste and electric on every massive hard standing pitch,,we will definitely be back,,,we were booked in for 2 nights but now staying for 5 .....View all reviews by sean08
This has the potential to be a really great site. It's still new and not quite there yet. The welcome in the excellent cafe / farm shop was friendly and we were left to find ourselves a pitch. These are all large flat and fully serviced if looking a bit unkempt, partly due to the weather. The facilities were in modern portaloos however work had started on the permanent ones. The hot tub pitches were popular but not for us. The access roads are becoming a bit pot holed and it does lack some facilView all reviews by simonfknight
Very large hardstanding pitch with electric, water and waste on it. Site well thought out.View all reviews by wendydarby
Showers/toilet still in portakabin but clean with soap, paper towels and loo rolls.
Foundations for new shower block were dug while we were staying.
Large fenced in dog walk field.
Moody Cow farm shop sold some lovely produce and meat and our meal in the dog friendly bar was served with a fresh salad.
About a 2 mile walk to get to coastal trail and then it’s left to Newquay or right to Aberaeron
May be excellent when finished but looking like extra work to be done at present. New toilet block is still at foundations level although portacabins are good. Nice little farm shop with bar/restaurant.View all reviews by trevorf
We had a large pitch with its own hot tub for £45 per night.
No motorhome service point. Better site if you have a car as long walk to anywhere otherwise.
Here for our second visit. The farm shop and bistro building is progressing, The owners are serving food in the "Sheep Shed", a large barn with tables chairs, sofas, book exchange, table top sales for sweets, and plenty of toys for youngsters to play with. The food on offer is very good value with a fixed price for all dishes only - £5.00. Great value! Whilst the price is a year round one, there are other sites locally which cost more. We will be happy to visit againView all reviews by alfiescarlet
May be a great site when it's completed but not when we visited. No farm shop just building work. Showers and toilets in portacabins which weren't very clean with no hand dryers or paper towels and no dish washing facilities. I don't know how people in tents managed!View all reviews by k44gsw
You could get food in the sheep shed which also housed animals. It had a play area in there with broken toys and dirty carpets which were a trip hazard. All this for £25 a night. I've stayed in better laybys!
Spent 3 nights here between 3 - 6 July 2017. Following on from the previous review, not much progress seems to have been made in terms of completing the site. Although the site is pleasent enough and set in a nice location, the facilities leave a lot to be desired, considering the £25 per night that is currently being charged.. The enthusiasm and aspirations of the owners cannot be faulted but the current offering falls well short of the standard expected for the tariff charged.View all reviews by p444ete
Very large pitches , waste, water all on your own pitch. New toilet block being delivered soon it will look like a log cabin. . 1 kM from a bus stop. 3 miles into Aberaeron. 4miles to NewQuay. Taxi cost from farm to town £7.00 you can get a bus from there into cardigan or Aberystwyth. for English OAP £3.00 return and for a younger person £6.20 return . English bus passes are not accepted. New Quay is lovely to visit from there also. The site is new so shrubs are not fully bedded in but that is what you would expect. It is very tranquil and there are footpaths through the fields. There are coastal walks if that is what you want. The Thomas family are so welcoming and such fun.View all reviews by lainey54
