Signs saying no over night parking, but 7 campers and me spent a very pleasant two nights here without incident. Great views.
Don't put Firle Beacon into Google as it tries to take you up farm tracks to the top of the hill.

A large free car park on an elevated area of the South Downs. Great views of the surrounding countryside, sea and the town below. We parked on the grass area on the right as you turn in outside the main car park. There were several campers already there both in the car park and on the grass verge. Signage further down the track indicates "no overnight parking" but none at the top end or in the car park itself. 24 hour Asda just up the A27 towards Brighton. Great Spot.

4 others parked up here for overnight after we had visited Beachy Head for the Dakota aircraft flypast on 5th June. Easy to find and part grass, part Car Park stones. Stunning views all around. No facilities but we didnt notice any significant litter either , which is always good !

Very pleasant overnight stay. 4 or 5 other vans. A little hard to find level ground but ok in the end. No facilities. Very quiet except 1 idiot with a noisy car at some point but soon left. Would be stunning view if it was clear but unfortunately not when we were there.

What a lovely place. Very quiet at night but be aware lots of people traffic by day along the South Downs path which included us ! Arrived about 2100 with a few vans there but managed to find a reasonably level space. Fantastic views !! No facilities but all self contained !

A little GEM! First night wild camping and what a place to do it. 360 views of the sea and downs - loads of walks. Asked a couple about staying over night, said they do it all the time and have never had any problems. Gravel and grass, plenty of room. Could be tricky to find level ground if really busy - only 3 mororhomes tonight. Few cars, walkers coming and going till 9.30, after that beautifully quiet. No facilities - free parking!!!

Stayed here Feb 18, there was signs that said no over night parking, but we parked on the opposite side! Amazing views, there was on either van there that was actually parked in front of the no over night stopping signs. We did some research and apparently these were put up after a big groups of vans stayed for weeks leaving littler behind. It seems to be that if you are there no more than 24 hours it seems to be fine. Didn't use the actual car park but the verges around it!

Amazing views all around. Ideally placed if you like walking, right on the South Downs Way. Very exposed to the elements, so a fair bit of wind noise and rocking (But worth it). Easy access road with plenty of room for even tall vans

Great site with fabulous views both across Eastbourne to the sea and inland across the valley. It is exposed - the car park is also used by hang gliders, but if your mh is warm then the views definitely make this site worth a stop. We'd been to visit the Clergy House in Alfriston and stopped in at the George Inn to shelter from a passing hailstorm both of which we'd also recommend although not the hailstorm! The site is a bit bumpy but not too difficult to find a reasonably level park.

Great views across the downs and to the sea, though it can get a bit blowy up there. Walk into the village where you can pick up eggs, locally grown fresh fruit & veg depending on season. Pay via the honesty box. Excellent meals at the Ram.

Good views from the site across East Sussex. parking alongside the South Downs Way. So good for anyone doing the "Walk".
Gets very busy though so worth getting there early if possible. No facilities though.
