Very quiet and peaceful spot overlooking Y Fenni. Like other comments very steep and bendy narrow road coming up but worth it for a restful nights sleep after walking up Sugar loaf. Lots of dog walkers but quietens down after dark.

Stayed here for the night to walk The Sugarloaf, the poor ole T4 didnt like the climb up here tho, 1st gear most of the way!
Beautiful views of the valley & lots of wandering sheep.
Lots of people coming & going from this very popular spot but still a quiet night, couple of miles from Abergavenny.
No facilities here.

Stayed here for a night to walk the Sugarloaf early the next morning. Lovely views, another camper was in the opposite corner and a couple parked up to go wild camping. Unfortunately we were joined by a couple of groups of teenagers in cars, ruined the tranquil settings but didn't cause any problems.

Agree with all about tight and steep in places. If going up/down during daylight hours when it’s probably busy do expect to have to reverse a few times as there are very few passing places and u can’t see ahead far.
Arrived in dark, 11pm Thursday before Easter. Only one other van there. Beautiful view of valley with twinkling lights. Very quiet, good nights sleep, no disturbances. Great walk up sugar loaf mountain in morning. Car park got very busy from 8am.

Very picturesque place to stay. Lovely forest walks. Quiet, slight traffic noise.
Popular spot for dog walks.

As stated in previous reviews, the road up to the car park is rather narrow with not many passing places. You need to watch overhead branches too in a few places. The car park is popular with locals, hikers and dog walkers so the road does get busy. There was only one other campervan to join us for our one night stay in August. Fairly level car park, fantastic views and quiet at night. May not be so accessible to the coachbuilt motorhome (especially the longer ones) due to the narrow access.

Stayed here for one night at the start of a World tour of Wales, what a stunning place with great views and walks. Access is very tight and steep in places but car park is tarmac and fairly level. We tried using the post code on our sat nav but got lost, the co-ordinates eventually took us directly there. No facilities but watching the lights come on in the valley below is spectacular, definitely going back soon.

Amazing views from this wild camping spot. Long and narrow drive up from Abergavenny. We have a van conversion and still had a few scrapes from vegetation at the side of the road. But the location is great. The last few hikers and dog walkers had gone by early evening. There are some farms beyond and a few vehicles drove by during the night. But it was generally quiet and noone bothered us. Park parallel to the road near the big concrete plinth for the most level experience.

Wonderful spot with magnificent views over Usk valley. A 4 mile walk takes you up to the summit and a fantastic 360 degree panorama - worth the effort. On our own from 7pm to 7am and very quiet. However would not recommend approach up Pentre Lane from A40 ( first turning ) as wall on one side and hard hedge on the other - we scraped ( literally ) past at 2.3M width !! - better to go up from Abergavenny - OK once past the vineyard and sharp uphill bend.
