Spent a lovely evening and night here. There is a mix of gravel and grass and its almost on the beach. We was joined by tents and similar size MH and Campervans. There are some toilet facilities near by, and they are spotless.View all reviews by PeterGiddens
The evening we stayed we were spoilt with the most fantastic sunset.
Lovely overnight stop particularly if you are getting the ferry. We parked opposite the tiny carpark on a grassy verge and you could just step on to the beach from the motorhome door Lovely beach and very quiet.View all reviews by natbuglotus
What a perfect place to stop.View all reviews by doorrny
We had two nigjts here in August and it was lovely. 5 mins from the ferry so perfect first or last night stop.
Toilets walkable 100 yards. No other services found.
4 or 5 other vans about both days
Plenty of parking along road looking out on to the beach so great views. Quiet road. Toilets down the road. No other facilities. Close enough to get ferry at St Margarets Bay back to Gills Bay. Like this place and given parking is angled to beach would take 7.5m motorhome, of course if motorhome is longer then you could chance parking across the spaces but that would take up other parking spaces! There is a grassed area as well, that longer motorhomes could park on.View all reviews by johnandmaree
Great bit of Orkney wild camping, right up against the beach, no facilities but we'll worth it if you can manage without. We saw seals and a brief glimpse of an otter as well as the usual Orkney birdlife.View all reviews by Doghimself
