We have a selection of hardstands and grass stands as well as a large open tent area which can accommodate up to 30 tents. Hardstands and most grass stands have their own electric point, while communal water points are always nearby.
The campsite is situated right at the famous beach of Strandhill – a mecca for surfers from all around the world. For swimming, the flat sands of Culleenamore, are just a 20 minute walk along Strandhill beach.
The golf club is 500m from the site, while shops, pubs and restaurants are within 100m. Mammy Johnsons is a local favourite for ice-cream and Shell’s Cafe is perfect for your morning coffee or brunch and their little shop section is a treasure trove for gifts and treats.
Five paces from our reception building and you have Killaspugbrone Loop Walk which takes you through the Special Area of Conservation and down to the ruins of Killaspugbrone Church which sits proudly above the picturesque Nun’s Beach.
If those walks haven’t put a proper thirst on you yet, a climb up Knocknarea to see the cairn or a drive to the megalithic tombs at nearby Carrowmore are sure to set you straight.
Then choose from the Strand Bar, the Venue, the Dunes, Stoked, Brees Bar or the NEW PLACE to fill your bellies and quench your thirst, with live music often found in one place or the other. Did we mention the new addition of the Hot Box Sauna and Pizza Wagon behind the Strand Bar…?
