Brilliant stop to visit Pitlochry. There were about 12 motorhomes here on a Saturday night. Free from 6pm each night and on a Sunday. Minimal cost at other times.
Very quiet stop. No facilities

stayed in Pitlochry en route south. Several other friendly motorhomers also parked up. Hop, skip and a jump to town centre that boasts a great selection of eating places, takeaways, coffee shops and lovely crafty type gift shops. All shops pleasingly had quality gifts on sale rather than the tat and tacky goods often found in touristy places. Ferry Road car park was free after 6pm until 8am but was only £4.80 if you wanted to park up for the whole day. car park is mainly flat and lit by street lights. Leads on to a dead end so very little traffic makes for a very peaceful night. Plenty in waste bins in car park and public toilets in town. Great walks along banks of the river.

Shortage of campsites close to this popular town so perfectly adequate. A couple of minutes walk to town and close to salmon leap. Paid £3:40 for 24 hours! It is what it is, a car park but with overnight stop allowed it’s a very cheap and safe option.

Arrived mid-afternoon and parked on the perimeter of the car park - that way our "overhang" was on the grass verge, and our outfit fitted perfectly into one bay. We paid for 10hrs parking - which carried over - so we have plenty time to explore the town. Lots of motorhomes parked in the car park - a car transporter also chanced his luck but went! Some train noise but that abated later in to the evening. Access to the dam and salmon ladder is closed due to COVID restrictions.

Parked up here, various other motorhomes. Found a flattish area in the middle next to our moho. Location is ok, all the better for other people overnighting. Friendly people helping each other. Very short walk under bridge straight into town centre. Paid £2 at 4pm till 6pm, then free till 8am. Enjoying a nice pint now.

Convenient site in a great location. Were about 12 units in total when I stayed, but plenty of room for more. Most people left before 8am when the charges start, but would recommend staying if you like walking as there are a variety of waymarked trails going through the town.

Agree with all previous comments. parking warden walked round a few times and waved. 2 mins walk to town and lots to do in Pitlochry. watch out between 3rd Oct - 3rd Nov each year, the enchanted forest event is on every night and parking is manic after 6pm. we returned to car park and were surrounded by cars. sounds a good event, tickets sold out when we were here.

Perfect overnight stop, approved by the local council so no worries about being out of place. Free after 5.00pm, small charge from 8.00am which can be paid the night before. Only sound we heard was a very occassional train.

Reasonably quiet, just the odd train in the evening and morning. Flatish at the bottom by the stream. £3.50 for 4 hours which carried over to the morning

Great free stop over spot right in the town centre. Tip is if you dont want to be leaving at 8am we got there about 5pm and bought a parking ticket for 4 hours(£3) and it rolls the hours over into the next day for you, so our ticket didnt expire until 11am. Gave us plenty of time to explore the lovely shops and have breakfast. Very quiet overnight, slept well. were 9 motorhomes there the night we stayed. Recommended stop over spot. The town is lovely.

Parked at the back of the car park as it had the most level spaces. A few late & a few early trains but none during the night. Had an excellent meal at Victoria's Restaurant just round the corner on the main street. Best to book as it's popular. Quiet night and would stay here again. Rubbish bins nearby, dog walking by the river.

Other Pitlochry carparks busy. needed 3 hours parking so paid £2.70 for 4 hours. The extra hour was added to the next days parking taking me to 0900! Great for High Street shops and fast food outlets. 5 units here tonight.

Stopped here enroute to John O Groats. It was a late stop (9.30pm) and we were on the road again by 7am. As noted by previous reviewers, the car park is quite small with the spaces near the railway being the most level and longest. The trains are quite infrequent and even if they stop for a signal the noise is not intrusive. Albeit we didn't walk into town it is clear that this car park is within easy walking distance of the main street. No facilities as might be expected. Highly recommended.

Great location in Pitlochry centre. Amazed to find a free overnight stopping place. Quiet apart from occasional train which did not cause any problems. Very short walk to restaurants, pubs etc. Lovely clean town. Plenty of local walks start here. Will definitely return.

Stayed here overnight on 10th February 2018 alongside 5 other motorhomes / camper vans.
Not a bad location very handy to walk into Pitlochry centre and the Dam.
Parking is free during the hours of 6.00pm and 8.00am and free on Sundays.
Parking charges apply during the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday - £3.60 for the full 10 hours.
Some spaces are on a slope so may need levelling ramps.
Train line runs directly behind car park but it did not bother us.
No facilities on site.

The map pin isn't quite in the right place. The car park is directly next to the train station. Train noise not a problem.
Stayed here January 2018. Bitterly cold, treacherous black ice in tarmac surface. Cut through passage way under railway line to get to town centre, lots of cafes bars etc. Red squirrel in nearby bushes.

Stayed here just before New Year along with about 10 other motorhomes. Site is tarmac with good access but has a slight slope necessitating leveling blocks. Very easy to walk into town which is pretty with a good range of shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Parking charges apply - £10/day.

Stayed there September. There were three other vans overnight along with three other lorries. Very quiet until about 0600 when the first train came by. We had a good look around the town. Very nice shops and a few watering holes. Would recommend. The views from the car park isn't much but when you start your journey they are amazing.
