Great little site, easily reached from the A1 and with views of the castle in the distance. The dirty duck pub is lovely, very dog friendly and warm. It has a playarea for children and plenty if outside seating. There is great walking from the site along the canal towpath and disused railway line. Facilities are clean but cold and we didn’t get any hot water in the toilet/shower block. You have to cross the compacted earth car park for the pub from the camping field to get to the toilets and/or elsan point and bins.
Overpriced for the facilities available £21 pupn

The campsite is very peaceful and flat with good views of Belvoir Castle.
We had a lovely meal in the Dirty Duck pub but the canal that runs alongside it was stagnant and covered with algae - nothing like the picture shown on this site.
The toilet and shower blocks were awful - looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for months. I took pictures of them and sent them to the castle who handles the booking but never received any response from them.
At £21 per night it is not good value for money.
If you don’t want to use the facilites this site is ideal and the adjoining pub is lovely - otherwise I would not recommend it!

Great location next to canal and very good Dirty Duck pub.
Alas toilet and showers poor. They were dark, dank and dirty and not attended to during our 2 day stay...from the state of them I would say they hadn't been cleaned for at least a week. Only 1 of the 2 showers worked for a site that had perhaps 50 pitches.

I didn’t stay here, but nearby and visited to have a look at the campsite. The pub has been renamed the Dirty Duck, and the food is excellent. Restaurant quality. Campsite is adjacent to the pub, which is right beside the Grantham canal. Beautiful walks and on two national cycle routes. Very quiet area.
Campsite is managed by the castle, not the pub. Toilets, showers etc in well kept building.
I hope this helps people, despite my not having stayed here.

Stayed here last april for a few nights just after i bought my motorhome. Was a bit naive at the time but now realise what a rip off this was. I chose it to be near friends who live locally
Pub patrons parked all around motorhomes ( ignoring the camp parking signs) - probably because it was previously part of the pub carpark. This means that as they stagger back to cars and leave at the end of the evening there is a lot of noise.
The toilet block wasnt v clean so i avoided using it. It is used by locals walking dogs during day
The elsan disposal point was overflowing and unsanitary.
The people running the pub are totally separate to the site do there is no on site support.
VERY expensive
