We stayed here last night for one night and it was fine. Perfect day parking for motorhomes and we took a risk and stayed overnight after we had read the conflicting reviews on here whether it was allowed or not. We walked around and checked all signs and couldn't see anywhere that said no sleeping except in the short stay car park. There were two other motorhomes parked up in the car park too.

Even though the no overnight signs have been taken down there is NO and i mean NO sleeping allowed in the motorhome. You will be moved on we were at 1 am by the police ... If you want to take that risk personally we would never go again. it is the second time we have been moved on as well

I’ve read on the council page there is a height barrier here. Is that true? It doesn’t seem likely reading some of these posts. And I guess we take our chanses staying overnight? As the council say no overnight parking? Which is also strange as we can pay for 24 hours? Is that right?

Decided to stay here after meeting a couple with their motorhome the previous day. £6 from 09:00 to midnight. We had about 10 other motorhomes/campervans for company. Quiet, apart from campervans slamming their doors shut at all hours. Very dark (no street lights) in the motorhome area which was great. Close to toilets during the day, and various outdoor shops, cafes, restaurants and chippies. We used it as a base for a walk in the Gwydir forest which is well worth the effort

£5 from 9am- midnight. No charge overnight. Central location.
Flat spaces. No facilities. Wooded area. Quiet. Odd train passing but no issues.
Its a carpark so nothing more really to say. There are about 7 other vans here too.

Here again whilst working in the area.
NO signs or mention about overnighting on the payment machines.
Thinks as long as people dont take the piss like I witnessed last May Bank Holiday when a huge Moho set up camp for 4 days taking up 3-4 spaces we’ll be fine.
Night Loo, short walk away. open 24hrs

Noticed the Hand made sign in Aug, this has now gone.
The Car Park right down the bottom on the right is Not the Railway Staion Car Park its Run by the National Park.
Like many of stated this has been abused by some and as a result people have been moved on.
Out of season appears less of a problem, have used this place 4 times since October and had no problems, can imagine it will be different once the Spring arrives.
No mention of Overnight Camping being prohibited on the pay machines

You will be asked to move on as the car park empties so don’t expect a warm welcome here any longer . Selfish Motorhome owners taking up 3/4 Car spaces have spoilt it for everyone else . Zero tolerance to overnight stays .

Unfortunately, it was being used as a campsite by motor homers, setting up barbecues, tables and chairs. Taking up two or three spaces. Its a car park not a campsite. No over night parking allowed now because of this.

A perfect place for an overnight quick stop. Cheap as you like but no facilities other than public toilets, quiet enough on April the 6th but I'd imagine it'll get busier as the season gets on. Parking is easy enough on concrete / grass type parking. I'd use it again definitely as a stopover.

We have stayed here several times but there are rumours that this has been stopped. Can someone post a picture of the sign next time they are there. The one currently on this site is not enforceable.

Good stopover, toilets at entrance not open all night. Paid £5 day time parking , overnight free, we paid again the next morning as we went cycling to the coast. We ate at pizza restaurant near entrance , lovely food. Good pubs with Cask ales, usual outdoor shops and small supermarkets in the village.

Great stopover as right in the town itself. £5 to stop overnight, but we did put another couple of quid in next morning as we had another walk around. No services but public toilets at the end of the road. We parked on the grasscrete at the far end of the car park along with several other vans. Took a walk along the river to Swallow Falls, very muddy and slippery but the falls themselves were worth it - we took the bus back into town at £1.50 each. Nice quiet night.

Our 1st night in Wales was spent here. We (myself, the good lady & our spoilt terrier) arrived mid afternoon. We parked up at the far end of the long stay car park on the grass / concrete MH area & paid our £5 fee (old fashioned meters that accept only coins, no cards). From here we went to the railway museum and then back to the station café. The waterfalls are pretty, the cakes on offer in the village bakery are excellent. Quiet night spent here, no noise or smell as previously mentioned

Arrived on a Sunday about 19:00. Went down to the Long Stay area, where there was already another MH, though I think the actual dedicated MH area is right at the very end, with grass crete. As it was not busy and we are a small camper van, we easily slotted into the normal parking bays. There are machines all around, but you need coins. It was £2.50 for 4 hours, or £5 all day, up to 23:59 - we paid £5, stopped all night, left at 10 next morning, no problem. 2 min walk to shops, we dined at The Bistro, very nice, then a drink at The stables bar at the Royal Oak, where lots of people were eating. Got back to the van to find we had been joined by three vans towing caravans, taking up about 5 parking bays each, think they were all German. Very quite night, nice and level. The clock bells were very soft so no bother to me, and no train noise, just a couple of service buses came past. Next orning it was 5 min drive to the Fforest coaster at Zip World for a bit of a laugh, and 15 mins to Surf Snowdonia, which was a bit more tiring, but well worth the effort.

Lovely quiet stopover. It was busy in the afternoon when we arrived but we still managed to park in the designated motorhome stop area at the back of the carpark. Only heard train early last night and same with clock. Can hear low noise from sewage treatment plant but it didn't bother us and can't see it and we didn't smell anything. Plenty of space and we're in a large Tag axle. Very near to shops and lovely walks.
Will definitely stopover here again.

Lovely locations and lots of space. There are officially just a few motorhome spaces but when I was there last night there were about 15 motorhomes parked at random places. No services.

Costs £2.50 for upto 4 hours, £5 to midnight. Easy access to the railways station and town shops. As others say there is a sewage plant behind the carpark but on my stay, there was no smell.

Excellent location. Can get very busy the car park during the day. It is £5.00 for overnight parking. Smell of sewerage in the designated MH bays. We parked sideways in the car park away from the smell and took up a few parking spaces which i did feel bad about. We did not stay overnight just the day. Some very nice campsites which are of course a lot more nearby.
