Theres a barrier to the car park, you need to go threw that! not sure how it opened. Then you need to go up to the moho park, where you have to pay at the meter before it will let you threw that barrier.A bit tricky, but we did it in the end. lovely little town, lots of shops and bars.

Another great find, well we found it eventually! Marina with all MH facilities, use of showers, toilets and laundry just ask in the office. No busy either.

Parked up on the Thursday and really enjoyed our stay so thought we would do another night.. Big mistake! All the local teenagers were hanging around the aire till 1am and riding their bikes very close to our motorhome. It's great these places put aires for us to stay but its always the local youths who spoil it. not ideal when you pay to stay in a safe place. This aire isn't secluded at all and anyone can come and go.

Absolute gem, very quiet (in winter, not been here in summer) and the town itself offers a range of excellent food options, whilst two supermarkets are within a short walk, and Lidl a short bike ride. One can also hop on the passenger ferry and go have lunch in Portugal if you want! The staff at the marina office (who manages this) are super helpful and there's a guard 24 hours. They have excellent, clean showers with plenty of hot water - just ask for the key card (EUR15 deposit required).

Agree with the first reviewer. An absolute gem. Have passed thru ayamonte on the outskirts many times in the past but on the basis of the review decided to stop. Initially for one night. But stayed for four. The town is gorgeous. All of OP's comments are correct in terms of location and quality of services. Showers are superbly hot... Also for those traveling with vets the adjacent practice is excellent. Sadly I have a sick dog with me and they were superb

Update in my previous review. Returned on 25 January 2020. Sadly problems with access and toilets and showers which according staff there is no timescale to address. There are five spots with ehu (plus many others). Problem is that you have to choose the pitch first at the machine. I chose number four knowing that ehu is in pitches 1-5. Got the pitch someone had already paid for why in that pitch and had a long lead out to it... Nothing we could do. So check physically before paying for the pitch to ensure electrical not taken. Also water input is time limited. We only managed to get half a tank for 3 euros. Fabulous spot still but at 10 euros to park in a carpark with no facilties...

For us u cant beat this stop over. Entry easy, thanks to previous tips. Nice river outlook and town buzzing, not normal tatty. Dont bother with gps for last km, just follow the signs. Only one other mh, must be a hidden gem.

Read about entrance location so found it easily enough and knew what to expect with second barrier so again not a problem. Nice outlook overlooking marina, super quiet, well lit at night, felt super safe with location and barriers. Certainly no boy racers on level hard standing with town within easy walking distance. Did not need services but it all looked clean and tidy as did rest of aire. Three other vehicles also stayed overnight.

Pleasant clean site in pleasant town. Recommended. But bring your sense of humour when you tackle the computer to get through the second barrier into the parking area. You need a credit card and passport and you need to specify which bay you will use. If you want one of the five EHUs choose a bay you can reach with the cable!

This is certainly not a user friendly Aire. Firstly or sat nav wanted us to get through to our via a no through road. When you arrive on the other side of the marina you have to take the slip road into the marina complex. you then reach a barrier which has no call button when we called the number the guy didn't understand us, in the end we reversed back then he must have seen us and lifted the barrier. There's then a 2nd barrier with a pay machine which only takes cards. note you need your passport no. the Aire is fine once in. tarmac bays paid for electric and services available. cost €9.55 parking only. services are €3 do fill and empty together otherwise it's 3 just to empty loo.

Just a short walk from main square, plenty of shops and bars. Lovely little town, pleasant view across marina. The actual aire is badly thought out. Two barriers to contend with (call tel number if no one sees you come in). Second barrier is to MH parking. Pay at machine, but note you only have 30-45 seconds after barrier is lifted, after which it closes and you have to call in. Local worker warned us to set up hosepipe before paying for water, as it starts pumping as soon as payment is taken.

Great set up in a small town en route to Portugal. The buzzer to get in to marina area and lift barrier wasn't working so you have to walk up to marina office and they will lift. When getting to mh parking, pull up so camera can capture your reg and then walk across, select a bay via machine and go through booking process. All worked fine for us. Water and waste 3euro paid on card via same machine. Would stay again if passing this way.

Even in the daytime we found it a bit difficult to locate the site. However, lovely location over looking the marina and a very short walk into the town. Only one other MH on site, worth tracking down. Haven't used the facilities apart from our pitch which is flat and Tarmac, so cannot comment.

This site is located within the marina complex, so if you havnt set your satnav just follow the road signs for the marina. Once in the marina the site can be found at the rear of the office along side the waters edge. On the downside, when we arrived we were the only motorhome there and the totally computer controlled site was offline. This means you can't gain entry. Once sorted, everything works by computer and credit card. For technophobes it's a dream but computer dinosaurs stay clear.

Arrived after dark for a night stop over, sat nav insisted on taking us down a side road to a locked gate. eventually worked out that the entrance is via the main marina access from the main road. Unfortunately this is barrier controlled and only operational 08:00 - 18:30, outside of these times you need to call a local number. Gave up and spent the night on a bit of waste ground at the back of the marina where some nets were spread out.

Stayed here March 2017. Large concrete area with 27 pitches, electricity available on 5. Controlled entry and exit and payment at a machine. Location is stunning overlooking the marina with the main town behind it. There are hot showers and toilets and wash hand basins. Also a washing machine. All for €12.33 a night plus €3 for electric. Ayamonte is really special, a delight. It has lovely plazas, many restaurants and bars and good shopping! Recommend the tuna steaks we bought from the fish market for €8.50 a kilo!

Was there 7th November 2016 yes it as 27 parking places but only EHU for 5 lovely view over the marina only downside in one corner there are some tables and benches this is where the local tenagers congrigate they arrive on bicycles scooters and motorbikes.They were quite loud stayed there until about 10 o,clock they were not a problem but they might stay there longer in the summer.
