Booked for 1 night, stayed 2. Staff very helpful and informative. Location amazing, facilities more than adequate, price fair. Shower block and toilets clean, plenty of hot water. washing machine in main block. Saw dolphins and seals at Chanonry Point! Village 5 mins cycle up the road, co-op & pub. Also noticed a Boots chemist. 10/10 from us!!

Stayed for two nights. This campsite is peaceful and fairly sheltered even though the pitches are on the waters edge.
The staff were friendly and extremely informative on the area of Fortrose during check-in.
The big attraction just 20 minutes walk along the beach is dolphin watching. The campsite have the information as to the best time to be looking for them. On our visit the dolphins came out to play. Well worth the wait.
I would sum up the facilities as clean and adequate with plenty of hot water. Six showers on site, male, female & unisex. Laundry facilities are good and reasonably priced.
Pitches are affected by wet weather.
Good access to Inverness.
Overall, a very pleasant stay.

£20 for two people with EHU
A warm and friendly welcome, a nice pitch by the water's edge, good facilities and no problems at all. This site was close enough to walk to the little town of Fortrose, the other town, Rosemarkie, the fairy glen and Chanonry point where we watched dolphins for over an hour! All that we wanted from a paid site, and more!

Great little site with very friendly and helpful owners. Terrific location and £20 for a night with EHU by the waters edge overall fair value. Showers limited but adequate.
We went for the Dolphin sighting and wasn’t disappointed, the office will give you the tide and peak viewing times to spot them....
overall a bit like stepping back in time and not in a bad way.

Fabulous views. Just stayed the one night and used our fire pit on the beach. Pitch 4 good for medium sized motorhomes, on the waterside with no need for extra long EHU cable. Nice and close to loos. One shower in men's and ladies but also a unisex shower block. Good food at the Andersen's. If you like your whisky a that's the place to go. Didn't see dolphins from the lighthouse but did take the Avoch dolphin tour and saw a post with calves. Fabulous! And the boat is dolphin friendly (no propellers) ???? Overall would stay there again.

Stayed one one night to see the dolphins at the point (and we were lucky enough to see them) good sea views, facilities a little basic but the view makes up for that. It cost me £25 with ehu for the night in july.

Stayed here 4 nights in June. Campsite quite busy with people staying mostly a single night. Two shower blocks with an extra "Shower Shack". Each of the 2 toilet blocks only has one shower each in the men's and women's areas, but the "Shack" has 2 large showers. Staff really friendly and the reception area is great for information on the Dolphin sight seeing times etc.

Stayed here for a total overall for three nights. Overall a very well equipped campsite and facilities. There is a laundry and kitchen room available which surprised me on having a microwave! Great location to stay on the Black Isle, for Chanonry Point to watch the Dolphins and to see the Tollie Red Kites at Dingwall. Very pleasant site and helpful owners. Will stay again at this site. If you want an early breakfast then the Fortrose Café is open from 7.30 am it's a 10 minutes walk to village.

Needed a couple of nights on a campsite after wilding for a week or two, this was a great choice. Basic and very clean facilities, but lots of hot water, stunning views all around, and the dolphins came to play as promised last night. Good walking to the point and beyond. Pub in the village The Anderson has lots of great beers and big food portions.

Lovely site with excellent facilities. You can even charge your phone for free! I would also say this is better than the site at Rosemarkie. I saw dolphins and enjoyed the walk all around the bay. The village has a pub and a co-op and the people are very friendly. Mike and Rachel are very helpful and have only been running the site for a year and have upgraded everything. Will certainly visit again. This is the first site I have been given a reduction as travelling alone with the dog!

This is a fabulous alternative to the c&cc site at Rosemarkie . I would even go as far as saying it's better.

We can only re iterate all the points already made by previous reviewers. Such a great site and really helpful owners. Our dog loved the access to the beach and we enjoyed great walks along the shoreline and to the pleasant town of Fortrose. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely campsite, average priced I would say. Owners are friendly, keen to provide a good campsite and looking to make improvements I believe. They have installed heating into the shower block beside the main reception block, this was definitely welcomed when we stayed. Fortrose itself is a lovely little town, well worth a walk, or cycle around, with a handful of shops and cafe/bistro/take-aways. The campsite is ideally located, walkable to the town centre area, if you wanted to eat out or visit the few shops etc. The best point of the campsite is its beachside location. When we visited in October, we got a water front pitch, giving us views over the Firth, seeing the Dolphins swim by on a few occasions. It is also only a 10-20 min walk along the beach or golf course to get to Chanonry Point, which is a favourite viewing spot for watching dolphins and minky whales. You can also get great views of Fort George, an old military installation which is now a museum across the water. Oh, can't forget to mention that you can have beach campfires - lovely sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. Would recommend this site, if you're looking for lovely waterside views and seeing marine life up close.

Lovely site right on the shores of the Moray Firth. Nice people as well, willing to impart lots of information about the surrounding area. Easy walk alongside the golf course to Chanonry Point to watch for dolphins. Morning low tide appeared to be the best time, we saw about 20 in smaller pods making their way into the firth, very close in as well. Also saw the most amazing sunset while staying here.
