I certainly wouldn't recognise this site from the previous review. We couldn't have had a more different experience! Yes it is isolated, but when you book a site that is in the country, you should expect that. It is just over a mile to Woolacomb and it is down a steep hill, but well worth the walk. We walked back by the alternative path, still steep, but had beautiful views of the bay. The owners were great and are M/H owners too. The facilities were clean and well keptView all reviews by rumour
If this site is a stone’s throw from the beach it must have been with a high velocity catapult! Woolacombe is over a mile away down an incredibly steep hill. Taxi to return £7.00. It is very isolated, no buses, no pubs within easy walking distance. Beautiful views of rolling hills. Didnt find the owner very helpful, and the site reception/shop/take away was only open from 9-10am each day. (Low season in june) Arrived on a Sunday -charged us High season for that night even though reception was shut. Toilet/showers clean but water in dishwasing area could have been a lot hotter. The site slopes in two directions so levelling ramps needed. Looking for quiet isolaton? this is the site for youView all reviews by goodwillcamping
Love this place, been 3 or 4 times now and this was the first site we ever stayed on back in the day. Steep hill into Woolacombe but taxi back isn't too badly priced.View all reviews by pas7272
An excellent campsite, consistently good value for money. Very friendly. 5 min drive down to Woolacombe beach. A place to return to time and time againView all reviews by bert
