"If Carlsberg did motorhome Aires"

This little aire is nothing short of superb. no wonder it's full most nights. 13 spaces in total, but most are a single or end location that provides a nice outlook across open fields or s pretty lake. Menen Gate is about a 35 minute walk, but on mainly flat and surfaced paths. Lake is just a short walk away, with a lovely restaurant that is only open during the day. cost is very reasonable at €8 including EHU. Easy access to motorhome point that can be reached without entering the aire. Location was quiet, with occasional mild noise from the nearby railway line.

This ticked virtually all the boxes for us. Next to a fishing lake (day ticket, money collected on the bank). 30 mins walk to Leper (Ypres) and the Menin Gate, really worth being there for the Last Post Ceremony nightly at 8pm.Lidl is within easy walking distance. We used it as a base to visit some of the War Graves. Waste water drop, toilet emptyjng and fresh water (€1) are all available without going through the barrier, if you just need to deal with your ablutions. Huge bins and recycling available. Only downside is you put your card in when you enter and again when you leave, that’s when it takes the money so it wouldn’t suit you if you want to use your van to get around

Being a 9m van we just squeezed into the length of the pitch. Electric on 2 pin sockets. Machine would only accept a bank debit card for entry. Exit at far end of aire and use the same bank card to exit. Good service area just outside barrier €1 for water, dumps are free. Large bin and recycling area. 30 min walk to Menin gate and city centre. Military cemetery opposite. Being beside a large lake, beware of mossies even in October! They don't like me but wife got 17 bites in one night.

This is a great little site with all of the facilities needed for a short stay (maximum 48 hours) - except for toilets! Plenty of room in the spaces and right on a small road which links to walks and cycle paths leading in to Ypres centre which is only half a mile away. An excellent location for exploring the war cemeteries and battle fields and the Last Post is a must do visit. At 8 euros per 24 hours it seemed good value to me.

Great site for biking from. 8 Euro a night, max 48 h stay. Take a note of the time you arrive you do not get a ticket and barrier will not open if you overstay. Swipe your bank card to open the barrier ( Contacless works) swipe again to pay and open barrier. (I guess if you had a second bank card you could drive back in for another 48 hour's)

As french Aires go this is very good. Closer to Ypres than you think as bike path virtually on site, views over to Dr LDS and lake very near. Entry by debit/ credit card we high needs to be represented on exit, can accommodate a few very long motorhomes and other spaces take about 8m. Typical Aire, not much space between, but enough. Grey water & toilet emptying can be accessed before barrier. All full by 4pm

Lovely aire with great walk around the lake next door. Rural spot and we found the train noise irrelevant. All facilities to hand and very popular as became full from 3pm onwards. Would recommend.

A lovely Aire in a lovely spot but becoming very popular. I have been three times now and only managed to stay once, the other two times being full, I suggest if planning to stay here have some other places planned in reserve.

This is a tidy and peaceful spot. It’s in the countryside so very quiet. Stayed two nights and it was busy but not quite full. Right on cycle track and walkway with access to the extensive Belgian cycle newtwork. 30 min walk or 10 min cycle into Ypres and the Menin Gate. Good harstanding pitches. Need 3pin French plug for electric - polarity was correct. Water 1euro per min, 4 min ~ 90 L. Entry and exit by Credit Card controlled barrier. Drinking water and grey disposal is outside barriers.

Small site , so tends to get full by 4pm . ( but it was 10th and 11th November )
Easy walk or cycle into town , Menin Gate only 25 mins walk .
Put credit card in to open barrier , and it charges you when you leave . 48 is max stay .
€8 per 24 stay . €1 for water , think it's 4 mins for water .
Waste water and cassette emptying point just outside barrier so you could use even if spaces are full or you are just passing .

Good little aire close to Ypres. It is about a 30 minute walk into the town. Clean and new with plenty of space. Nice lake nearby with walks around. Bar/restaurant was closed when we visited (July). Very quiet during the day but strangely a bit noisy at night with a train track not too far away.

Beautiful site, great facilities. Very close to the town, we cycled in less than 5 minutes. There's a B&B with a bar/restaurant within 100 meters walk, and it's next to a fishing lake. Water is 1 Euro and is outside the gate so top up before entering.

New Motorhome aire by the side of a lake just outside Ypres. Cost is 8 euros per night which includes EHU , Grey water drop and chemical toilet disposal. Fresh water works on a 1 euro meter. On entering you put your Debit/Credit card into the barrier machine and then on leaving you have to use the same card in the exit machine which takes payment and raises the barrier. If wishing to use EHU you will have to have a 2pin continental adaptor, a bit strange as it is a new site. The aire is a 30 minute level walk into Ypres Centrum. There is a bar restaurant on the edge of the lake.

Stayed for the maximum 2 nights before moving closer to Ypres, we found this site quieter and preferred it. There is a train line close by but this didn't bother us that much. Ideal for visiting Ypres. The restaurant / bar is only open during the day and closes at 6pm.

A gem, Very little to add to other reviews. Within walking/cycling distance of Ypres, Hill 60 and a multitude of Commonwealth Grave Sites. Surrounded by vegetable fields and at the edge of a fishing lake. We could easily have stayed longer. At the opposite end of the lake are two pylon style structures with upside down baskets at the top, became clear the next day when we witnessed a Vertical Archery contest!

We used this new RV site recently and it is superb - it needs the plants to grow for more privacy but perfect for cycling and the lake is wonderful
