Well I went to Dead Woman's Ditch and it was pleasant enough so I parked up and went for a walk up the hill through the woods. After about half a mile I came to another site where people were wild camping and it knocked my socks off! I went back to collect my van and drove the short distance up the hill to where the car parking area was on the right. The sea and countryside views from there are just stunning and there's loads of space. It's a large area and although it's uneven in places, there are plenty of spots that are reasonably level. I met a few other wild campers and we watched the most amazing sunset and then full moon rise together. I'll definitely be going back there!

Good site, very peaceful, listening to the cuckoos! Other vans there overnighting. Saw a volunteer ranger in the morning who advised there is no camping in Quantox Hills.

It is actually Dead Woman's Ditch and the postcode is TA4 4AB. This postcode took us about a mile away so had to carry on up the hill and it was on the right. Steep hill up to site. There was a camper already there so we didn't feel alone for our first ever wild camp! Quiet location and set back well from the road. Pleasant nights sleep. Sheep and horses in the morning. Nice walks on both sides of the road. Dog walkers during the day. Actually really enjoyed it there and will definitely return.

This is a lovely car park local to me.
I was Disappointed to see that in the heat wave and drought of this summer a campervan camper had lit a disposable barbecue in the car park. The Quantock Hills was very dry fact tinder dry at that point, a small spark could have caused a moorland fire putting the lives of wildlife, livestock amd vistirs at risk.
Please take care of the sites you use, take litter home and dont use the bushes near by as toilets

Arrived late on a Friday night of bank holiday weekend expecting car park to be full but it was empty! A lovely quiet night and the lovely sight of the wild ponies to enjoy in the morning whilst eating breakfast.

Great location for walking the hills and villages of The Quantocks. Quiet and peaceful at night. Level parking. There is another car park quarter of a mile down the road towards Crowcombe, called Crowcombe Park Gate. Steep slope but level ish at top and bottom and great views.

A great stop over here. On top of the common in the middle of the Quantocks. We had a nice peaceful night with only the odd car on the road, which was far enough away not to have bothered us. The pitching in gravel and mostly flat. Good TV reception can be found from the north. Great walks can be had in all directions from this point. You can walk south to the Great Wood or north towards Holford and the north Quantocks. Through out the day you may be blessed with the wild horses coming to say hi, although the sign says about not feeding them!
