One night stay over. Pub next door with fair pub grub. Views of the abbey and fields with horses.
We paid £3.50 when the car park attendant turned up in the morning but he was very chilled out.
Flat in most places.
Abbotsbury is a lovely little town with some amazing walks and the drive in from Bridport direction give the most stunning views across the coatline.
No toilets nearby.

Nice stopover - no signs to say that overnight sleeping is not allowed. Level and good access.

Stayed here for one night. We had a good walk round and enjoyed our stay. You probably need to park away from the trees if you have a larger van. No one around to donate money to but we did leave well before 8 AM.

Lovely quite stop over. £3:50 or £2 after 3pm. Ask the attendant if it was ok to sleep over and yes no problems as long as it was no more than 2 nights. Lovely views and walks, chesil beach is 1.5 miles away. Can park next to the beach £3 all day - no camping. 2 pubs within a few meters away. Great stop over.

A great place to stop.
Large and level carpark.
As the photo says there are charges but no one anout and no honesty box.
Very quiet during the night. Bit disappointed that in such a large carpark another motorhome pulled in fairly close to us and then at 7.30am ran his engine for half an hour.
Lovely walks.
The Swan is a stones throw away, drinks a bit pricy.
The Ilcester Arms 5 minutes walk is nice. As previous stated in another review, a torch is a good idea as its very dark in the street.

A stopover en route to Cornwall. Lovely area, good for walking, Farm shop, post office, coffee shop and Antiques shop! Lovely car-park, quiet, no signs up to restrict overnighting. Pub next-door is good. We tried the local ale. Another pub just up the road. Recommend.

Perfect, quiet location for an overnight. Good sized car park within easy walking of 2 good pubs. Food in Ilchester Arms really good. No street lights in the village so take a torch. Shared car park with one other motorhome. Very peaceful and felt very safe.

Great little spot overlooking the countryside with Lama’s & Donkeys - several pubs close by & Swanery within walking distance - very peaceful spot & a quiet refuge from the winds that have been blowing

We spent 2 nights here in July in our Vito. Lovely place, very quiet overnight and great pubs and cafe's in the village for breakfast and dinner, there are even public toilets a short walk away. Would be very happy to go back!

Lovely site in a very picturesque village. The car park is level and has a pleasant view across the farm park and old abbey. The village has essential food supplies and the Ilchester pub welcomes travellers with dogs. Pop into the art studio and wood gallery for a browse. There are around 600 swans at the swannery but at £12.50 each we thought it quite expensive. Saint Catherine's Chapel is also worth the short walk. Parking prices have gone up and are now £3.50 before 3pm and £2 after.

Free car park virtually flat all over. Short walk to village and all amenities. Quiet especially in January on freezing cold day!! Would return here. Not many other cars here and we are only RV.

Car park lined with trees for shade and privacy, quiet off the road and right next door to the pub serving good food. No facilities but the view is wonderful and there is easy access to walk down to the historic Abbey grounds and see the llamas, goats, rare breed sheep and geese, all sorts of animals the children will love. Or walk through the churchyard and into the village for bread and supplies, and another pub or two. A perfect safe stop over for travelling down to the West country and dog friendly. Car park charge is £3 overnight if you arrive before 4.30, but free after that as the hut forthe car park attendant is closed. You can also walk from here down to the Swannery or the Sub-tropical botanic gardens.
