Free car park close to Ghent. Some traffic noise but not bad. Would recommend. No services.

Free carpark - However it seems that it may be closed from 11/3/19 to 17/4/19 - I don’t speak the language but that what the signs appear to say, and there’s a heap of cables and work vans in the carpark. No services, or toilets, but quiet and safe overnight. There’s a free shuttle bus into town, saw it in the street, not sure where it stops - not much help really am I?!!!! We just stayed on our way to Brussels.

Good place to stay. Plenty of space. You can either park up further away from town along the road or use the parking area more towards the town. Short walk to a supermarket. Tram and bus stops are nearby. All locations are flat. No services available but that didn’t bother us. Night time was quiet. Not really a place Tom sit out and relax.

Great over nighter, quiet with 20 odd camper vans there, spent the day wandering around Ghent by foot, but plenty of options with trams and bus to use.

Great place to stay...to find the 38 &39 bus stop take a when you walk to the main Road take a right towards the bridge over the canal.
The bus stop is on left opposite the shops. ... do not cross the bridge ...
€3 for a return ticket which you can buy with cash from the bus driver .... Happy travels

Just a busy commuter car park now, with no sign of those with an "alternative mobile lifestyle". Full on weekday mornings, starts to free up mid afternoon. 5 mins walk to good Delhaize supermarket in Jubileumlaan. 35 mins easy, flat walk to well restored castle through rather dull streets, but good once there. Old quayside along Graslei/Korenlei interesting.. Watch out for vampire mosquitoes from the lake, even in late October! Quite a few other motorhomes using the site.Would use again.

Still a good place to overnight before a bike ride into Ghent. A little noisy and totally accessible to 'passers by' so be sure to lock up (but don't let that put you off!)

Just outside town on car park overlooking river,no services at all , if you come out of the car park and cross the road then walk past the shops (and massive launderette)on your right you come to the river, turn left and its a half hour walk into town. Plenty to see in Ghent and its ideal for biking. If you do have bikes there is parking further up with riverside views.

Beautiful location . River behind you . On a hard standing car park . Lots of motorhomes and feels safe . There is a gypsy part at the end but they cause no trouble . Half hour walk into town . Everyone has bikes and lots of bike lanes from where we're parked .

It's ok. Lots of vans parked here but still loads of room. Very easy walk to the centre. We are here for the Gent festival. We have had a fantastic time. Loads of live music great atmosphere. Recommend coming around the 17 - 23 July. Site is free and feels very safe.

The travellers are gone! We arrived on 15th April and there were plenty of spaces and only other motorhomes here. There are no facilities but it is by the canal and about a 30 min walk to the centre of Ghent. It was perfect for us, I would recommend it if you want to visit Ghent.

Drove in & drove out - exactly as last reviewer said. except now it is most Definately a travellers encampment. There is no spaces vacant. Every available piece of space is taken up by static large vans, circus style vans & fifth wheelers. Vehicles are hummers & bmws- Alsation dogs wander around & large black cables run everywhere alongside generators.
Form your own opinion but honestly I wouldn't waste your time.

This carpark allows motorhome stays overlooking a leisure canal. There are no facilities but there are regular bus services into the city centre. The yacht club has a club house open to the public but the weekend we were there it was being used for weddings so we cannot comment on how nice it might have been. Gent has a large flower market on Sunday mornings in Kouter Square and in the town there is lots to see and plenty of places to eat and drink.

Not somewhere i would recommend. Quite a few french travellers are staying here and its a bit of a dump to tell you the truth.
From the moment we pulled up they started to walk around our van trying to look inside.even if the travellers were not there we would not of stayed. Its close to the centre and free but we didnt stay and drove away.

Pleasant location and close enough to walk to the sights. It was a nice extra to have the chip van on site as well. Will certainly visit again.

On the bank of the canal and very close for a stroll into the city centre, this is a nice stop for one night. There's a nice park and an enclosed dog run adjacent to the car park. On the Friday night we stayed, we were the only motorhome.
