Arrived at lower greenfoot carpark having emailed the local council they confirmed that if the 2 marked bays were already taken I could park my T5 camper in a regular space provided I paid the £5 for the night. Having spent a quiet night here and an excellent meat at the Talbot Inn a short walk away, I can thoroughly recommend this spot and well done to craven council for forward thinking and very helpful staff - thank youView all reviews by DuBBz

Scampi30. Stayed 1 night in this carpark. £5 per night. Very quiet. Nice wee town and had a fabulous meal in the Gold Lion hotel. Reasonably priced.View all reviews by Restless
Toilets in town leave a lot to be desired!
Would return again.
Lovely spot in the center of Settle just to the side of North Ribblesdale RUFC. We parked up overnight in a normal space as we are in a campervan. Even in January there were 5 other motorhomes and/or campervans using it. No services bit there are 3 great pubs within 5mins walk, all dog and walker friendly. The Talbot does lovely homemade food, and the singing kettle a great breakfast.View all reviews by Wiggo13
There are toilet facilities 500m away from the carpark, next to a filling station and another carpark the allows overnight parking/sleeping. (The views are not as noce from this carpark)
We will definately be back in summer when i would imagine the carpark will be much busier.
Whoever marked out the motorhome bays was clearly having a laugh......there are 3 bays in a line. Couldn't fit anything longer than 6.8 in and with 3 vans in a row there would be no chance of the middle one getting out :-)View all reviews by ninkasi
Great spot for daytime and overnight.View all reviews by rayfin
There are only two motorhome spaces, but they are clearly marked with green paint and signs. Sleeping is explicitly permitted for people using the designated motorhome bays. I suspect they will fill quickly in summer, but in October we were the only ones there overnight - another outfit arrived the next day.View all reviews by nerianne
Like Skipton (also Craven Council) these spaces are all about location: in the heart of a beautiful town with good facilities, right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
We attempted to stay overnight on this car park, however while overnight parking was allowed there was a notice clearly stating 'no camping, cooking or sleeping' near the pay & display meter. We decided not to risk it and found a lay by just outside of Settle.View all reviews by clarke6860
