Lovely afternoon walk down canalside to Cheddleton and back. Then sat by the canal right along side this pub, good atmosphere. Great beers and lovely food, very reasonably priced. Asked if we could stay overnight and told yes, just use the overspill parking, which was ideal. Large, grassy area, and mostly level. No facilities. No charge! Very quiet, only 2 other small tents. Definately be going back. We are Citroen Relay, young middle aged couple!!View all reviews by suesheldon24
Turned off the A520 onto a little narrow lane (Park Lane) and after about 10 mins we thought that we were lost as we seemed to beheading into the abyss then suddenly we stumbled across The Holly Bush in Denford. Over a canal bridge and the tightest turn ever into the busiest car park for a Tuesday afternoon. After seeking out the Landlord we were directed down to the overflow car park where we pitched up for the night. My Niece played happily on the kids play area while I drank tea and made up the beds. Beautiful surroundings and lots of visits from the local ducks, rabbits and a squirrel made it delightful. Food in the pub was really ice and it was lovely waking up to the birds singing and a lovely view. No facilities other than the pub, and wouldn't suit a Moho larger than 7m as Ido t think you'd be able to turn in to the pub from the road!View all reviews by satell1te
We know this pub from the canal having moored here last year. This time we were in the motorhome! Just as good. Pub was busy but the meal was really nice and the range of beers was very impressive. Staff very helpful and friendly. Motorhomes normally park in the carpark extension but we were asked to park in the main pub car park as the extension area had been taken over by the Murvi Owners Club for a 3 day mini-rally.View all reviews by bertiebuggie
The approach to the pub is quite dramatic down a very steep and quite narrow lane with a sharp turn in to the carpark which also has a sharp change of gradient. To be fair it looks worse than it is and we watched the brewery lorry handle it with ease in the morning!
