Founded by the Roman Emperor Augustus and considered the "sister and emulator of Rome", immerse yourself in the ancient history of Autun by visiting the Roman Theater! Part of the first list of historic monuments inscribed in 1840, it could accommodate up to 14,000 people during various performances. During your visit, you will also be able to cross the two gates still standing since the 1st century in our area, real vestiges of the time of Lyon Gaul.
The remains of the Temple of Janus, for their part, overlook the city, and will allow you to discover another aspect of Roman architecture.
In addition to its historical aspect, Autun also has a lot to offer nature lovers! You can go around the Plan d'eau du Vallon, located a stone's throw from the service area.
